They keep playing ads during the ballgame for Modelo beer where they are imploring viewers to vote. I'm not sure if they are paid for by Grupo Modelo (Mexico) or Constellation Brands (that bought the rights/distribution from Anheuser-Busch InBev a few years ago.) Or something, there was a lot of complicated negotiations, antitrust cases, and such.

But my main point is why is a Mexican beer company, or just a beer company, telling us to "vote?" And if, and I don't know the actual laws or if it is the case, is the Mexican company paying for the ads is it legal? They aren't advocating, at least outright, for a candidate- or even an issue- but still it doesn't seem right. And there is no blatant exhortations for illegals to vote in the campaign but ads seem to show immigrants and such, presumably legal, along with messages to vote. Along with advertisements about fighting or becoming chefs. Not promoting their beer in the ads. And I don't see any usual disclaimers as with most political ads.
