Thank you it was a spur of the moment call that I was not adequately prepared for. Story of my life actually. I left work early with a migraine. Was lying in bed and thought what the hell. I opened Skype. Called the "number" and he picked up after a few rings so I just held on quietly whilst he finished the other call.

It shows what a dissolute life those supposed Australians live once they get off their shift at the smoke generator machine.
Calling American paranormal talk show hosts in the middle of our night because they sadly don't have any there themselves.
;)
Do they have talk shows down there and is there anyone out there in other countries doing the kind of show that Art does ?

And as I have said before, I KNOW it was ordained and predetermined that OUR collective will both as Bellgabbers and listeners made the 2nd ( or 3rd or 4th ) coming of AB happen.
Unfortunately he dragged in the old patent medicine, weight loss, erectile disfunction ads from his old show along with him.
And thinly disguised hookers too. I know personally 3 people on that site who are escorts but would never blow their cover. And I've gotten date requests and even some good looking ones and many with no common sense who send me requests from way too far away.
Its interesting to see what pictures people choose to post of themselves if nothing else.

Not to slight the man, but Timothy Good really reminds me of Sterling Archer's butler, Woodhouse.

He's got a very Malachi Martinesque-ness to his voice its just a shame that most of what he's talking about ins't as interesting as Martin.

No one has ever been as interesting or thought provoking as Malachi Martin. A great loss to the world and another one who was taken out because he was revealing too much.

Scully

No dropouts at all tonight on my PC running Windows 7, Producer Paul.  Thanks for checking.

I really hate the argument that the film hasn't been tampered with so the photos can't be hoaxed. Also some of the stuff coming from this guy is really off the wall. The 50s "contactees" have no shred of even potential legitimacy. It was a good call to go to open lines.

Falkie2013

I think there's a lot of stuff that researchers like Good and others hear that are hearsay and can never be confirmed.
That's the nature of being a researcher in the paranormal. Bigfoot, yeti, ufos and the weird don't pack id cards or papers.

Bah

Well, that was pleasant.

Art did a good job dropping Good, and was very polite about it. Sounded like Good was a bit chilly as he said goodbye.

I thought his voice was very annoying.  I was pleasantly surprised when Art dropped him!  I don't fee like I missed anything by tuning in late.

I feel like all of the stuff they talked about was 60 years out of date. Adamski is still discussed in a serious way? Ugh.

On my little Phillips portable sw/am/fm/weather radio I've heard that number stuff too. Just talks numbers on and on.
And then there's the one that makes this deeedle, deedle, deedle tone noise over and over.
I don't know what that one is.
On my list of things to do is get another small sw radio. I miss listening to stuff far away, but nothing is like my old Zenith which used to pick up basketball games from places as far away as New Orleans thousands of miles away.
And today's meme of the night ...

Adamski was a curious duck with supposed CIA connections.
And some of his stuff has been supposedly verified from what I've read.

As in the link below :

" One of the most outrageous, but certainly intriguing, theories surrounding the early years of the Contactee movement suggests the Contactees were in the clandestine employ of the United States’  .. Intelligence community. "

I once almost lost my leg because...

Was this before or after you almost won the lottery, almost became a Hollywood scriptwriter?

Be a skeptic if you choose.
I never LIE about things I've done.
Unlike many of the guests we've heard over the years on C2C.

Uh-huh. I guess you're just one of those people that everything happens to, like Forrest Gump.

I think "supposed" and "supposedly" are the key words there. Adamski earned himself a place in the lore and pop-culture of the UFO movement, so I feel he is looked at less critically than he should be, especially by believers.

Adamski and many of the other contactees seem to have stories that are dated and very much a product of their times. Those stories have aged poorly. It's hard to argue for a guy who claims to have seen ships from Venus and other locales within the solar system that are more well understood today than they were back then.

Of course today we talk about tunnels through space-time and warp drive, and in 60 years from now our popular ideas with respect to interstellar travel and will similarly straddle the line that separates the plausible and the quaint.

First time here... caller mentioned and art mentioned "bellgab" and so I thought I would check it out...
I think I will come here more often.... There is no facebook forum to discuss it really and it seems like this forum is quite active. :) I have commented on C2C forum for a very long time... some of you may know me... I'm going to keep my name anonymous though, but I'm sure based on my style I might be recognized. Did anyone comment from over there???

About tonight's show, I like that we got some open lines. Art does VERY well with open lines and it is SUCH A HOOT.

Hey how's it going? Welcome.
But with the end of the second replay I'm calling it a night. Enjoy the vicious and vaguely lovable.

Sadly we have no such show like Art on terrestrial radio in Australia. We have talk shows but they are either political/topical or sports or babysitters for old people/insomniacs at night. ;)

When I got back to Australia in 98, from living in the States between 96-98 and discovering Art, I called up a talk radio station at night and relayed a "made up" ghost experience that I had. The host sort of dismissed it and said he didn't believe in that but for the rest of the night the phones were lit up with other people sharing their own ghost experiences and stories. Sadly the host did not cotton on to the gift that I had given him and I never heard anything like that again on that program.

guruguy87

The more you flood a host with calls, the more the host needs to adjust to the callers...

Happy Birthday! You have about three years of archived weekly shows to catch up on. I am so happy to share this with you.

Dr. Good was definitely BAD!  :o OMG this guy sounded like the writer for the old "Weekly World News" UFO stories!
To paraphrase John Pinette, "This guy sucked with Butter on it, and nothing sucks with Butter on it!"
This guy made Dr. Irwin Corey from the old Tonight Show look like Einstein! After two hours I switched over to the 60's channel on SiriusXM to wash my brain out. ::)

Buh-leaf me, if EVERYTHING had happened to me like Forrest Gump, I wouldn't be posting here, would I ? I'd be rich and sitting by the pool in Vegas with a drink in one hand and a hot babe on my side.
Specious logic and a thinly veiled ad hominem attack on  me as well.
With that in mind, I reply thusly and thrust my Art Bell admantium sword at thee !
Take that foul doubter !!!
