Yet sleep will not come.   He will be up all night worried that the Stalker will return and give him the good old Chief White Halfoat treatment.
He will never rest well again as long as he resides in the Senda Pad.   Poor bastard............

Not to mention all the "notifications" he'll be getting all night, keeping him awake and alerting him to the fact that someone is trying to get online with his iPad that a Not-A-Foreign customer service rep remotely locked for him. Because notifications that someone is trying to log on to a wireless network from your stolen device are a thing. **cough**

(Said the person who now writes about wireless devices and services all. day. long. I think I'm  projecting so much outrage because my job is soul-suckingly dismal and boring and it's getting to me. YET I WORK IT. Because that's what able-minded / bodied people do.)

Well he said he was awful tired and that it was hot out [it being summer and all] so I don't think he made the trek down to Martinez PD.
Also seems like the Police  have their hands full.  Some of the entries in that log are amusing:

WTF with everyone rolling around on lawns out there? Sheeeezus.

I take back everything I said. I think the naked guy in the last one took his iPad. He should go with that.

He said he called the police. But hell no, he didn't formally report a breaking and entering / home invasion: We didn't hear about the 18 buses he had to take in the scorching heat to get to the police station and fill out the paperwork, nor did they come to his apartment to investigate a robbery because a) he's dodging all government authority figures at the moment because his apartment isn't up to cleanliness code and b) they'd say, "Hey George, as long as we're here, how 'bout all that money you owe us for traffic tickets that apparently caused us to REVOKE your driver's license?"

So much nope.

Correction: A walking through an unlocked, open, bubble-wrapped screen door in the blazing morning sun-and-entering. Not breaking.

To unplug and take an iPad from the pillow RIGHT NEXT TO HIS HEAD.

That's the same as I heard... And he did report it to the police. I'm sure George would have "renter's insurance" to cover his stolen iPad.

I didn't hear George say anything about asking for donations to replace it.

So why be so skeptical that it didn't happen?

And he's building up to a request for donations. Just wait.

I'm sorry. This video made me angry. So angry.

- A masked bandit wouldn't know that he's (conveniently) a sound sleeper. It would take a thief with big cojones to walk in his apartment at 9 a.m. and take the iPad off the pillow next to him and then get back out the bubble-wrapped screen door.

- The most exciting/important part of this story is the theft. The second-most important/exciting detail should be the conversation with the police/filing the report. He skips over that whole part except for two short and fast sentences. Hell, we've heard more drama about a trip to The Dollar Store.

I could go on and on about why this is bullshit. Sorry. I try to stay in Falkie's corner but I put my head in my hands and said, "Oh, honey. No" when I watched that.

Someone comes in your apartment when you're sleeping and takes something -- that is a violation when you're most vulnerable and, as such, CREEPY AND TRAUMATIC AS HELL. Do we see or hear any of that in this video? No.

Nice work!    You have come far Seraphim.  You have come far.....

"Oh dear.  That poor man"  to "That bastard is probably lying.  Lemme dig into this a bit"

*laughter* I'm trying to imagine someone creeping silently through that apartment, not to mention during -- for the rest of the city -- broad morning daylight.

And ...

1. His eyes aren't moving up, left or right to indicate accessing memory when he's telling this story. This is recitation.
2. Creeping silently through an apartment that he himself can't even walk or turn around in.
3. ONLY snatching and grabbing the iPad and not one of the many, many valuables in there.
4. If Apple can remotely lock his stolen iPad and can send him notifications when someone's trying to get online with it, don't they have to use Find My iPad or something? Maybe not. But how can someone attempt to get online with it if Apple remotely locked it??
5. Too much detail in this story, combined with a digression to chatter about the damn glasses.
6. I can't. If it shows up in the police blotter tomorrow, I'll eat my shoe, but he'd either have to go to the station to file the report or they'd have to come to his apartment. You can't just chat about stolen goods (and whether you're going to prosecute) with the cops over the phone.

I was a newspaper reporter for 15 years, 3 of them on the police beat. So just no.

Watch for a video about why he didn't file a formal police report in 3...2...1...

I might have heard this wrong. If so, please correct me:

He went to sleep with his screen door open and someone came in his apartment, unplugged it and stole it off the pillow next to him.

So the summary of this incident should show up in the Martinez PD Daily Crime Log for today, which will probably post tomorrow: http://www.cityofmartinez.org/depts/police/daily_log_n_press_releases.asp

At around the 1:08:00 mark in that live broadcast, Falkie requests a donation of a gift card to a local restaurant and says he ran out of money for food last month and almost had to eat cat food to survive -- but a "friend" helped him out. So who was it last month? My eye-opening month was April.

I will say that ever since I got wrapped up in these videos, I've gotten more fastidious in cleaning and following my Financial Peace plan (not counting April 😕). So there's that. Maybe he was sent to this Earth to be a kind of reverse muse.

My favorite part of this video is when Falkie says he's going to Sprouts on the "30th of next month." As I sit here and eat my synthetic Sausage, Egg and Cheese Lean Pocket, it both delights and horrifies me that someone would make a calendar appointment to buy fruits and vegetables. Welcome to America.

I noticed Falkie has the same problem I do: Resting Bitch Face. I say this as a fellow RBF tribe member. It's a challenging disability, as people tend to misinterpret it as pouty, disgruntled and entitled and, as such, it can disrupt jobs, relationships and daily life in general.

Fortunately, there are global RBF charities to help those afflicted with it. All you have to do is write an essay and send in a picture of your expressionless face. I did and got a $2K grant from RBF Awareness International to pay for collagen injections to keep the corners of my mouth lifted. (Otherwise I'd have to smile ALL THE DAMN TIME. How physically exhausting and horrifying.)

He should look into it. In fact, he needs a life coach to tell him these wise things and schedule his produce-shopping appointments for him. I'm starting a GoFundMe campaign.

I don't particularly play new games on PC and don't pay attention to the scene at all really, so my advice/opinions will probably be outdated. I think the general consensus is that if you want the highest level of graphics possible, a gaming laptop is not the way to go. I understand the appeal of laptops but the tradeoff is in performance.  I don't know if it's still true, but they also will probably run hot and have crap battery lives.

I have used an Alienware (you mentioned them in the other thread) and it gave me a lot of problems - screen issues, battery issues, cooling issues (partly the fault of my cat), and a dead HDD and motherboard were all things I had fun dealing with. I got very good at pulling it apart and putting it back together.

Thank you! Yeah, I was hoping for something that could multitask (also so I could write off part of it for work). But you're one of several people who have said "just don't."

Haha - my Mac started to have cooling issues and I was pretty mortified when the tech opened it and it was full of cat hair that was jamming the fans. She said, "It's not as bad as the guy who just came in with a laptop full of ants and roaches."  :o

I posted this in the video games thread too. Just looking at all the topics over here makes me skittish. I DON'T BELONGGGGGGGG IN THE TECH THREADS!

I'm probably going to get mocked here, but I'm trying to venture out of the land of Mac and buy a decent gaming laptop, if there is such a thing. I want a VR-ready one. But dang, buying a PC is kind of terrifying and confusing when you've spent your life on a Mac. I'm looking at an MSI GS63VR Stealth Pro-230, but it feels like there are 900 different configurations of it. And whenever I read user reviews of it, they're like "REMOVE THE BLOAT FIRST!" "REPLACE THE T1!" "DON'T GET 4K RESOLUTION!" and I get too paralyzed with fear to hit "Buy."

I guess I'm just checking here to see if anyone has any opinions or suggestions. I'm tired of trying to slog through games with crappy graphics on a MacBookPro. I've read something like 9,000 reviews in tech magazines. It came down to Stealth, Alienware or ... an Asis one.  :-\

I'm going to scuttle away in shame now.

Are you finally getting it now Norm?  Hardly anyone other than nutcases like Seraphim fork over the dough if he talks about buying toys or taking Kathy out for fine dining, but when he talks about starving cats or suffering horrible pain the waterworks start going full blast.

He's utterly amoral; he will lie about anything to get money, goods, or services.  Dig it.

HEY!  >:(

Somebody tell him that cataract surgery will give him perfect vision and Medicare will pay for his cataract surgery. I'm tired of telling him stuff. I'm jealous of my dad right now - he's suddenly running around with superhero vision at age 70.

And yeah, the LASIK window slams shut once you hit 40-ish. Had I known this, I would've bought better eyes instead of boobs in my youth.

Yeah, I said it: BOOOOOOOOBS!

Nodding off as I listen to Falkie talk about his eye issues and his plans to kidnap cats that probably already have owners.

You guys sent him a pizza and didn't even pay for it??!!

SO CRUEL!

My heart kind of stopped when someone knocked on his door. I was afraid he was about to get robbed or something live on camera.  :o

At least he could have sent you a recording of him saying dirty words in your ear.

That would've been awesome, actually. His Walter Winchell impersonation from FalkieLeaks is my current ringtone. I mixed it with some phat beatsies. It went off in a store the other day and the woman in line behind me said, "What song is that??" I told her it was special and rare.

Yeah, and meanwhile you are sending money to Fatso and urging others to do the same.  Really, just shut the fuck up.  Just shut up.

Elvis used to walk around here, randomly pointing at people and giving them Cadillacs. Maybe I just wanted to be like Elvis for 5 seconds. And meanwhile, you have no idea what I do with the rest of my money or my life in general. So go gallop off into the sunset or something.

I saw a guy who entertained me with his YT channel and "needed help with his cable bill." I had no idea that he sings that song all the time. I had no clue that he would spend my donation on various electronics that he can't work and a SnapPet. But do I care? *shrug* Not really. I now see the error of my ways. I'll put it on my list of "things I'm not doing again," right under "explain myself to a cartoon horse."

So peace and friendship and all that, man. Take a deep breath and chill.

Is anyone watching Falkie's live thing tonight? I'm watching London on the news and playing mahjong. Someone please post the highlights.

Even though I make a social worker's salary, I have bought food and Christmas gifts out of my own money for families on  my caseload that were badly off. Senda is not badly off.

You're absolutely right. He should spend a day here with a family in inner-city Memphis and he'd realize that he lives like a king in comparison.

Hey, all this Falkie crap aside, thank you for being a social worker. My brother is a social worker. It can be a thankless, heartbreaking job and, yeah, his salary still shocks me and he's been doing it for 15 years. Seems like the people who are trying the most to make a difference are the people who get paid the least in this twisted society.  :-\

I wonder what idiot provided the funds for this? On top of his getting the roof over his head payed for, food stamps and medical benefits courtesy of the American taxpayer. I don't have health insurance, so fuck me when I'm sick. I won't even go into the food he takes regularly from food pantries. I should stop working 6 days a week and just grift like fat fuck Senda.

Wasn't me! I admit that last month I sent him a donation so he could pay that $127 Comcast bill he's always talking about and switch his internet, but I guess he had other priorities.

I wonder if  Poor Isaac in Brooklyn even knows there's a Senda YouTube channel?

Ohhhhh my bad. I assumed Isaac was a viewer, but yeah, he's probably a customer service guy. Still, good customer service, though -- for most people's standards at least.

Poor Isaac in Brooklyn just learned the hard way that if you send Falkie a "Burgh Unboxing" gift, he will most likely:

1. Not understand it
2. Not say anything along the lines of "Thank you for thinking of me and for trying to help me out!"
3. Complain about it and list several reasons why it's not what he really wanted.

You tried though, Isaac. You tried. Consider yourself initiated.

I woke up and noticed there are now ELEVENTYTHOUSAND Abandoned Martinez videos. WHAT WAS IN THAT COFFEE??

Do any of you guys watch This Is Dan Bell on YT? That guy is a master, although now he's doing videos about filthy hotel rooms, which is equally entertaining/horrifying. I support him on Patreon -- because he does have a page there. *cough* He also has his videos neatly categorized into PLAYLISTS. *cough cough* (Although I notice he's removed his "abandoned" playlists ever since he became a Ted Talker. The vids are still there, though.)

Falkie could learn some things from Dan. You have to take safety precautions and have the right gear, be respectful of property, etc. (💁🏼💁🏼💁🏼) Dan sometimes films entire houses that've been abandoned, furniture and all. He doesn't touch anything. Falkie would sadly probably start shoving old dolls and rusty junk in his backpack.

Of course the proper gear (boots, gloves, ventilator mask - whatever it's called) would take money. And that would require donations. Everybody run.
