Long time semi lurker and appreciater of all you crazy cats.

Just finished listening to the show (thanks those who put it up so I could grab it).

I'll admit I cried. The sense memory these songs evoke. What a powerful thing this was. Keith may not have ever been the most convivial person on the planet - but bugger me this was good. I can't think of a better way to celebrate Art and his shows than to give us something like this.

I'm not surprised Keith didn't take calls, I think current circumstances were probably that "he had something in his eye".

We took a ride tonight, didn't we?

Cheers Art, Cheers Keith

(Praise MV)

It was a very nice ride indeed. It was the nicest thing I've heard in a very very long time.  And listening live with other bellgabbers made it something I'll never forget one minute of.

Keith said he would have another repeat ready for Monday if Heather didn’t show up. He said he would have other options on Tuesday.

The line must be drawn here, NO FURTHER!

Well, okay, just a little further.

If Catsmile doesn't mind, care to speculate on what those "other options" might be? I'm hesitant to throw my hat in the ring, for fear of suffering his wrath.

LOL Well I dont want to get yelled at either-

Honestly, what options are there other than putting another show into that slot or finding another host? Without knowing if there is a contract or what that contract says its really impossible to say- I know I feel bad for Keith, he hasnt been in a good spot since Art quit and at one time his station really could have taken off-

I never hated HW, I was lukewarm towards her but she never should have been Arts replacement to begin with. I'm surprised it lasted this long. There is (and has been) a whole lot going on behind the scenes that we are not privy to.

I'd say the man has a business a run and he cannot keep playing games with the host- Who knows what stipulations he has legally though and what he will be allowed to do.

We really need Ed Dames. Wheres Ed Dames dammit?

Let me start with your last line first - and echo it, with the same sentiment: I love Ed Dames.

Right to the other part of what you were saying ... I think MV put it best, to Art's face in the interview he did with him. Heather just isn't Art - and that's why she was never received well. She could be the greatest, on the top of her game, and become a better talk show host. But she'll forever wear the stain of being the woman who sat in for Art. Look what it did for Noory!

No, I smiled sweetly as I always do and told them I was English...I was once asked if I was Irish, and when I said no, I'm English, she asked if I was sure..

I sometimes get other Scottish people asking if I'm Polish. It's either the cheekbones or the fact that I try to speak properly.

Looks like Keith is doing another show tonight on DMDN.  This time a compilation of Art Bell tribute shows from 8 other paranormal shows across the web.

Went to bed with DMRN on, but missed most of the program.  (Took an allergy pill, and was pretty much TKO'd).

From all of your accounts, I think the show went as well as it could have. I think it would have ruined the experience had he actually taken calls.  Imagine Heather or Lasha having called in. While yeah, it would have been popcorn worthy, I don't think you would be feeling the warm and fuzzies that you do right this moment. Am I right?

😢 I think Art would appreciate this more than the Coast tribute. And more than one from Heather.

100% agreed

Thank you for the list and link. And thanks Keith for the show last night. A Very nice remberance of Art.

It's always what isn't said is as important as what is said.

No ABBA.. No Dancing Queen. We all know that Art picked his music to convey a thought.

Dancing Queen was Arts theme song if he had one.

He was telling us about his life and our lifes using his Theme Song.

Art was 'the' Dancing Queen!

"You're a teaser, you turn 'em on
Leave 'em burning and then you're gone"

White Crow gets it.. Thanks for the ride Art!
You touched our hearts, souls and minds.."our believes"     Keep-um dancing, we are all Dancing Queens

Ooh
You can dance
You can jive
Having the time of your life
Ooh, see that girl
Watch that scene
Dig in the dancing queen
Friday night and the lights are low
Looking out for a place to go
Where they play the right music
Getting in the swing
You come to look for a king
Anybody could be that guy
Night is young and the music's high
With a bit of rock music
Everything is fine
You're in the mood for a dance
And when you get the chance
You are the dancing queen
Young and sweet
Only seventeen
Dancing queen
Feel the beat from the tambourine, oh yeah
You can dance
You can jive
Having the time of your life
Ooh, see that girl
Watch that scene
Dig in the dancing queen
You're a teaser, you turn 'em on
Leave 'em burning and then you're gone
Looking out for another
Anyone will do
You're in the mood for a dance
And when you get the chance
You are the dancing queen
Young and sweet
Only seventeen
Dancing queen
Feel the beat from the tambourine, oh yeah
You can dance
You can jive
Having the time of your life
Ooh, see that girl
Watch that scene
Dig in the dancing queen
Dig in the dancing queen

Ed was just another shoddy product that Art peddled. Like the entirety of his UFO/paranormal line. Artie never believed any of it. That is why he looked for his "immortality" in the physical world.

well, reality really hit this morning
Falkie must have let another opportunity slip through his paws...
what happened ?
did he piss off Keith ?
probably thought he was a TROLL and HATER !
an honest mistake !
(just ask Art’s daughter)
probably for the best though
it’s WORK...
and we ALL know what Falkie thinks about that FOUR LETTER WORD
(he even BANS people for posting that “word” in chat on HIS CHANNEL !)

haha, here are some of his predictions:

Thursday, 12 January 2006
Dr. Louis Turi
Here are the predictions made by Dr Louis Turi when he appeared on George Noory's tv prediction special.

George starts off by again telling us that Dr Turi has an accuracy rating of 100%. This is not true.

February 11th People will be forced to relocate.

February 19th More terrorists attack. More dramatic news involving death and the police.

February 26th Explosions and earthquakes.

March 8th People will be forced to relocate again because of either an earthquake, an hurricane, a tornado or a volcano eruption.

March 13th He didn't want to tell us what was going to happen in case he scared people. As if earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes and volcanic eruptions aren't scary enough.

March 19th Another terrorist attack.

March 25th More earthquakes and explosions.

April 6th People will once again be forced to relocate. I bet they are getting pretty sick of this by now.

April 14th Even more terrorist attacks.

April 21st And he rounds off the month once again with those jolly good old earthquakes and explosions, plus he throws in a tornado to really get things going.

May 13th Yes its the middle of the month again and the terrorists will be be going crazy again.

June 7th Death/drama/Police/secrets/terrorism.

June 16th Explosions, earthquakes and tornadoes.

June 26th Relocate.

July 6th Some police corruption scandal will come to light. Whats more surprising is that no one will have to relocate. Maybe the police will be relocating? who knows.

July 13th The middle of this month the terrorists have taken a well deserved holiday and instead we are back to explosions and earthquakes.

July 23rd is another date were we have to be careful. Maybe he means be careful not to bump into a terrorist or walk into an explosion or upset any police.

August 9th They are back, explosions, earthquakes and tornadoes.

August 20th Beginning/ending of portion of life. I think he means relocate.

August 30th Death/drama/Police/secrets/terrorism.

September 7th The dreaded explosions, earthquakes and tornadoes once again.

September 16th Relocate, I can't be bothered typing any more than this.

September 25th The police are at it again, death/drama/Police/secrets/terrorism.

October 6th Explosions, earthquakes and tornadoes.

October 12th Relocate, if you have any money left.

October 22nd Death/drama/Police/secrets/terrorism.

November 9th Death/drama/Police/secrets/terrorism.

November 19th Relocate, wow what a surprise.

November 26th Explosions, earthquakes and tornadoes, who would ever have thought that?

December 7th Relocate. Oh good just in time for Christmas.

December 17th Death/drama/Police/secrets/terrorism.

December 24th Explosions, earthquakes and tornadoes. I guess thats Christmas ruined then.

February and August 2007 there will be a nuclear exchange. Well thank God for that, after such a boring 2006 its about time we had something different.

The laughable thing about this interview was that Dr. Turi actually had all this written down on a piece of paper. Why? its the same stuff each month.

1.) Is one seriously unaware that cigarettes are a delivery system for an addictive drug?

2.) Is one seriously contemplating the notion that Art Bell never got high?

3.) Everyone dies by choice.
