It was cybernetic arsenic. I rationalized as long as possible in fear of losing  "networking value," but I decided such value as defined by facebook, was an illusion.

"E-Clap" oops... I meant "Applause."

In the entire history of humanity, people get sick and they die.  We can't change that.  It's always been true.  That's the end result for all of us.  In the last hundred years, we've made some amazing medical progress in extending people's lives.  But it is expensive.  If it were to be given out for free, then it would never be researched and brought to market.  Yes, our health care industry is a mess, so is every other facet of our civilization.  People get sick and that will never change.  Those with more money, more access to care, and better health habits have the obvious advantage.  It's not fair, but neither is life.  Why should it be fair?

If health care is a right, so is food.  It makes no sense to tax the living daylights out of ourselves and then say that we get 'free' healthcare.  I'm sorry for anyone's situation where they can't afford the level of care that they think they deserve, but there are a lot of reasons for that.  The FDA has made bringing drugs to market prohibitively expensive.  Out of control lawyers and their class action lawsuits have driven up prices of healthcare and medicine all across the board.  Unions in the healthcare field have driven up wages more than the market can bear.  Exorbitant costs of medical school leaves doctors in such debt that they have to charge ungodly amounts of money in order to ever expect to pay off their debts in their lifetime.  Unpaid medical bills by the poor and by illegal immigrants drives up the cost of care for all the rest of us.

Our healthcare mess is just a symptom of our overall societal mess.  We are collapsing.  So every facet of our society is collapsing.  We are Rome, and all we can do is say that we live in interesting times.  It will not be fixed.  It will get worse until we heave our last breath and tyranny rushes in to fill the vacuum.    Sorry, but that's the way I see it.  It's not out of callousness, it's a reality check.

“When we talk about settling the world's problems, we're barking up the wrong tree. The world is perfect. It's a mess. It has always been a mess. We are not going to change it. Our job is to straighten out our own lives.”

Joseph Campbell

Barack Obama, JD, US President, US Senator (D-IL) and presidential candidate at the time of the quotation, stated during the Oct. 7, 2008 presidential debate in Nashville, TN, moderated by Tom Brokaw of NBC News:

"...I think it [health care] should be a right for every American. In a country as wealthy as ours, for us to have people who are going bankrupt because they can't pay their medical bills -- for my mother to die of cancer at the age of 53 and have to spend the last months of her life in the hospital room arguing with insurance companies because they're saying that this may be a pre-existing condition and they don't have to pay her treatment, there's something fundamentally wrong about that."

50% of all cutters were sexually abused.

This is not exactly true. Approximately half of all documented self-injurers have been either emotionally, sexually or physically abused. (Therefore 16.5% would be a more accurate assumption.)

The act of self harm (in this case cutting) is a complex behaviour. It is most often a sign of poor or lack of parenting skills. I can confidently state that the act itself is not an attention seeking behaviour (as commonly believed) and that cutters are not "crazy" as some would portray them to be. Those who engage in self-harm behaviour have problem-solving deficits. In other words, they have not been taught appropriate methods of releasing their anxiety. This is what the act of cutting provides them with; an instant release of anxiety, thereby making them feel better.

It is my humble opinion that the act of self harm is under reported and likely on the rise in our adolescent populations.   :'(

So what are you saying here. You don't hire black people?

"bigfoot knows various languages, may have various super powers" > That's kinda cool.

Back on that other web site, a poster would come along every so often - different name each time - with exactly this same M.O.  To ingratiate themselves, they would first agree that George sucked, but ony a little.  Then they'd bash the other hosts as worse than Noory.  Then they would target one regular poster, try to get the response, try to derail the thread.

After maximum damage before people caught on, they'd disappear for awhile - only to reappear later with under another avitar.  Pretty sure they mostly all originated from Sherman Oaks.  My guess is someone with fat stubby fingers and low self esteem.  But any single one of them, including our current visitor, could just be some random Noortard.
The real truth here paperboy is that you are retarded. Almost every thread gets highjacked by the same 5-6 members spewing the same old nonsense. People find that frustratingly stagnant.

I recall you making similar accusations towards me. MV can easily check the IP Address logs that are recorded to validate the ridiculousness of your self important theory.

You paperboy are a continuous detriment to the growth of this community. While the majority of people come here for a quick smile or laugh you always manage to redirect everyone to your own brand of literary sewage. Congratulations.

This is not really a Freeware Application but while Snorry and Smells waste everyone's time with bullshit conspiracy theories and number ladies, real life conspiracies are actually happening!

The FBI is warning that hundreds of thousands of people could lose their Internet connections come July 2012, unless they take steps to diagnose and disinfect their computers.

The problem is related to malware called DNSChanger that was first discovered way back in 2007 and that has infected millions of computers worldwide.

Read about it here: http://resources.avg.com.au/security_risks/dnschanger-malware/
http://www.fbi.gov/news/stories/2011/november/malware_110911

Go here to check your computer and fix it if you are infected: http://www.dcwg.org/

Just read and follow instructions. Make sure you choose the right link for your country.

Cheers  8)

He was great, much of the material would be found on the "Relentless" cd. He did point out the sparseness of the crowd and said "It's safe to say the comedy boom is over"...

Take Bill Hicks, for instance...posthumously he's become beloved, but in life he was hardly selling out Madison Square Garden. I saw him at a shitty club in Boston in 1991 in front of about 60 people.
The documentary on him points out that while he never became popular here he did over seas. How did you find his performance?

Noory's "cycle" is a monotonous rejection of science and his arrogant ignorance.  I disagree with you on the following item, however. If you don't know what is causing and/or contributing to a problem you can't expect to find a permanent solution to the problem. You are doomed to repeat the very things that caused the problem in the first place. That's why it's crucial to end this bullshat "debate" that isn't a debate at all, but an arrogant rejection of what scientific evidence and consensus has deduced about the causes of accelerated GW.
???
Do you know who Lester R. Brown is? He is the most respected person in the field worldwide. Every leader on the planet has spoken with him. He's the only American to ever be invited to China to give them advice on the subject. You are not disagreeing with me; you are disagreeing with one of the most respected environmentalist on the planet. I suggest that you at least google his name and do a little research into the 50 books he wrote on the subject that have been translated into more than forty languages. He is the recipient of 26 honorary degrees and described by the Washington Post as one of the world's most influential thinkers on the subject in our time. His book Plan B is the most important book ever written on the subject. I suggest you read it.

Enantiodromia is kind of over stating it. Thread was started tounge in cheek. My wife happens to be Jewish. After the George Knapp KKK interviw and now this she kinda gave me the look. If you have ever been married then you'll understand and I have no intention of choosing c2cam over my wife. Besides, she's making pancakes right now!

Does anyone do any research into the guests that come on the show.

Sucks...no hope left... I guess the kids are not alright
Edit: My wife is freaking out. I can't blame her. She has turned off the radio. My time associated with anything C2CAM is done. Well it was fun. Be good and Cheers.

This thread should be called Wells Smells.  As much as Noory sucks, Wells smells.

Just listened to Wells' wackadoodle guest, this Swede Palmgren, who was bitching about how Sweden was a Marxist state, which taxed millionaires to death and took away dissenters' children.  (Never mind that ABBA did pretty well, and never even became tax exiles, not to mention Ace of Bass, and other Swedish pop groups).  One might not care for Sweden's socialism, but the state Palmgren talks about more resembles N. Korea.

Checked his website & one a the news stories is from a Hezbollah website.  The story is about a Jewish basketball player who claims that he likes to eat his unleavened bread with the blood of Christians and Muslims!

So much for veracity!

I have to say, listening to coast this week has been fun.

A lot of the posts on this site are laugh out loud funny but after reading all the negative posts (my own included) I have come to my own conclusion; with all the shows short comings, I would rather live with this Coast to Coast AM than without it at all.

I hate to admit it but even John B Smells is in good form so far this evening.

chrome has something that looks like a noscript equivalent.  also, it does have ghostery.  adblockplus is now on chrome.

Yes adblockplus is on chrome but it crashes often.

Google will not allow noscript on Chrome. Or perhaps it is better said that noscript will not alter their code to be compatible with chrome. There are some unsafe scripts that google uses that conflict with noscript. There may be some programs that are similar, but there are no equivalents to date; noscript is relentlessly releasing updates, it is just so easy to use and it is trusted.

I actually like chrome a lot. It works great (much better than fox) on my old IBM thinkpad. It looks oh so very slick and has a lot of apps but it is always playing catch up on the security side of things and lacks that customization quality that Firefox has always had.

And obviously, ^Cue heavy breathing!^, YOU DON'T KNOW THE POWER OF THE ALL IN ONE SIDEBAR!  ;) Once you have the sidebar, it is difficult to live without.  :-*

Lear is a spook. Everything he has and will say should be treated as disinformation.

As far as John B Smells; I'm not sure he had built enough rapport to have been the host of a 4 hour prank show.

At this point I can't blame the hosts of C2CAM. The failure must be fully attributed to the producers and upper management.

Great freeware:

1. Eraser
Performs permanent and deep erase (so not recoverable) of files.
http://eraser.heidi.ie/

2. Notepad++
Small and light text editor. I use it for scripting/programming/school.
http://notepad-plus-plus.org/

3. 7-zip
I cant live without 7 zip for file compression and decompression-handles pretty much everything. No annoying buy screens like winrar or winzip.
http://www.7-zip.org/

4. Tor
"Tor is free software and an open network that helps you defend against a form of network surveillance that threatens personal freedom and privacy, confidential business activities and relationships, and state security known as traffic analysis"
https://www.torproject.org/

Good list. I use them all.

TOR is important to learn about. Good call. If you use Firefox then download "HTTPS Everywhere"

I know that MV says Firefox sucks (no question Chrome looks nicer and may be faster, although I can't really notice the difference) but Firefox has too many security features I can't leave behind. ie. noscript, better privacy, ghostery that you can't get on Chrome. Noadd and addblock  seem to work much better on fox as well.

Besides, it has that  crazy  "All-in-One Sidebar" I can't live without.  8) https://mashable.com/2009/08/12/firefox-sidebar-tips/

If you use a 64bit OS like I do then use waterfox  http://waterfoxproject.org/
