Ha, thanks to your advice (HD antenna) I was also able to watch "The Leech Woman" last night. Fun movie and Svengoolie did a good job (sometimes I don't like him, especially when he shows a really good movie, like "The Uninvited" or early Universal movies) but last night he was pretty funny with his schtick about "stock footage" etc. And the movie was pretty good. Didn't listen to Knapp but know animal rights, horse issues, etc are a pet project for him, as I recall, so could be good show. Will listen later.
One of my favorite movies, ever, and a great soundtrack too, Stella by Starlight, I think?
I wasn't keen on the animal welfare show because any type of news about cruelty to animals gets right under my skin and doesn't leave me, but I listened in and it was a really, informative good show. I have a lot more respect for the Humane Society now. It's gratifying to hear that there actually has been change in the way animals are being treated from the release of elephants from Ringling Brothers to the cage free hens, but there is still a lot of work to do. The wild horse segment, as always, made me so very sad for these beautiful creatures and retired racehorses and their companions. There has to be a better way.
I was vegetarian for years. I think it's time to go semi, at least, just my protest at the cattle ranchers who are destroying our national wildlife heritages for bucks.
