Speaking of flat (or its opposite), I can't help but be somewhat distracted by the tenor of this thread. Medical issues aside, I find breast reduction surgery an abomination against God! And, err... well... men. Babies get 'em for like - maybe a year, but we men need 'em for a lifetime.

That having been said, let me also reiterate I am boob-neutral: you can be beautiful inside and out, with or without 'em. (Have I CMA completely yet?)

Would Adobe Photoshop Elements work for you? I have versions 1-7 (older versions work well for older/slower computers). Also, have almost any version of full Photoshop, but it is, quite honestly, more than most people need. To my surprize, I'd estimate that perhaps upwards of 95% of what PS does, PS Elements can also do. The REAL majic comes from so-called "plugin filters" which can do incredible effects, which are third-party products. PS comes with a basic set, but you'll soon be pining for much more.

BTW - a lot of the GNU programs are amazing - and do most anything your average user would need.  In fact, despite all the image manipulation I do - the only reason I use photoshop is that it came with an Adobe bundle that had other things I DID need.

GIMP is all fine and good, but I'm just not used to where they hide all the tools compared to Photoshop. Getting used to a whole new program is a lot of work for a casual user like me. I wish GIMP copied PS more unabashedly a la Open Office v. Word. Almost the entire layout of those two programs are identical, at least as far as the stuff I use is concerned.

That's because I requested from MV that he allow larger avatars - they are now set for up to 200 x 200 pixels. I found the others too small to see clearly (granted my screen is 1920 x 1200 pixels), but even whe I ran a couple of forums, I found that a maximum of 200 x 200 allowed one to see the avatar nicely without being intrusive.  Most people's avatars are either vertically or horizontally oriented, which makes it take up even less actual space. I found 200x200 to be a nice compromise between creativity and viewability.

Now it looks like Im gonna have to dig through my HD's and find a bigger one I've made... or maybe easier to start from scratch. Anyways, this is the reason some avatars are larger... because they CAN be! Hope you like the new freedom...
