Merry Christmas Bateman. I saw this on Twitter and it made me wish for 2016. Bring 'em on.  ;)

Keith or Art or whoever began deleting comments Sunday night. I posted something favorable towards Keith, showing my support. Two hours later it, and 50 other comments favorable and unfavorable were gone. Then new ones were added and they were deleted. I guess micromanaging comments is more important than trying to keep his network going.

Well, apparently we had the same dodgy threat in NYC but none of us were told and we all went into our classrooms as usual. Oh well. It would have been nice to at least have a heads up, even if it was a hoax. I would have eaten that cookie at lunch.

I wouldn't call it "all or nothing", I'd call it amateurish and immature.  There are 5-cent lemonade stands with better business management than Bell's productions. I can't think of any non-addict media figure whose career path is such a debris field.

I remember listening to DM when "we're all in" was proclaimed, with an apparent resounding thud with Sirius, followed shortly by no show.  What the???  Damn, Howard Stern is STILL trucking along with Sirius, making the big bucks, but NOOOOO, not for Dark Matter.  Streaming issues, you know.

I agree with both of  you. I've been to this same rodeo five times in the past twenty or so years, but now I'm walking away. No acrimony, it was an exciting beginning, a fun four months but I saw this coming a while back and have been waiting for the shoe to drop ever since, and it has. Conflicting statements, "I didn't say that" "What I meant was this", Art shutting his FB page to all but friends comments, Keith spending time deleting even favorable comments from ArtBell.com when it was understood his priority was keeping DMRN going, radio stations that were begged and cajoled into carrying the show carrying dead air with a dodgy explanation, and the really horrible infighting going on here. It all makes me terribly sad. I canceled my TT subscription and that's it. I'm not a troll, but I'm really tired of the never ending drama on all ends. There are other shows out there, and I've found them. Peace out, Art. I wish you and Keith well.

It's a Wonderful Life last night. I love that movie, watch it every year, and don't care if anyone thinks I'm a sentimental sap for doing so.  Wanna make something out of it?

Every time someone calls you a sentimental sap for watching It's a Wonderful Life, an angel gets a wing ripped off. SO LET"S BE NICE, PEOPLE!!!!!

"Merry Christmas, movie house! Merry Christmas, Emporium! Merry Christmas, you wonderful old Building and Loan!" <- Love that part

So dark is the night in midwinter's-time
But see the approaching Lucia!
She comes, the good one, with all the lights here.
She comes with greetings of Christmas peace.
She comes with lights in her crown.

In the dark night of midwinter-time
We welcome you, friend Lucia.
We welcome you, good one, with all the lights here,
We welcome your greetings of Christmas peace,
We welcome the lights in your crown.

God Luciadagen til alle sammen.

So beautiful. I can almost see ancient celebrations of the wheel of darkness now balanced for the return of the light. The song and the pagentry of it with the candlelight gave me chills.

Funny you should ask...

I've got vine fruit, apricots, ginger and glace cherries macerating in Jameson's for my boozy Christmas cake, which will be lovingly fed Jameson's in the week leading up to the big day, as will I.  ;D

I had turkey bacon today. I had a sad moment.

What makes my head spin the most about turkey bacon is that it actually can be kosher under the right circumstances. I can't wrap my mind around that. It's something from an alternate universe that oughtn't to be, like mock lobster.

After my initial displeasure about Art being all done, my other thought was, "what about this forum"?
I take a lot of enjoyment reading these pages. Sometimes the comments made by you people are more entertaining than the shows. Really. I have literally laughed out loud, often. Been in awe over some of the comments from the resident wordsmiths and been amazed by the variety of opinions voiced on the topics.
Work required me to listen the day after the previous nights show. I perused the live comment thread every morning to get an idea of what to expect.
Whoa!! ;D
Been listening to Art since the beginning, my son is a fan too. The other day my grandson told me he listed to AB the other night.
[Paxon show] That's three generations of Art Bell listeners.
Anyway I'm pretty disapointed that Arts finished but hope these forums continue.
You people are great.

ps A radio show with all you chatting live, in your own voices uncensored would be a hoot!
Just have HW or whoever pick a topic and let rip.

This forum has  been here since the days of GeorgeNoorySucks.com, and as long as George Noory continues to suck, and I hear he has a very long contract, it will prevail. It's been through the halycon days leading up to two restarts for Art and the bitter disappointment when he cashed it in, twice. Bellgab will go on, like Celine Dionne's heart. You can't get entertainment like the entertainment south of the Art threads on Showtime.  ;)

I had no idea that firecrackers are classified as attempted murder nowadays.  ::) Can we dial the drama back just a bit? I agree with everyone who has said that making all of this public is only adding attention if there is even a perp. Right now it could be some drunk kids with firecrackers. Then again I forgot it's bellgab, we need to turn up the drama to 11!

Yep.

I just want to apologize for derailing this thread. I was just trying to bring in another perspective. Going to enjoy every show we have. Hopefully this ends soon so we can talk about more things like Art's next guest instead of his homestead.

Senda, I went along to the carol concert last night; and once again it was inspiring to see young life limited children just getting on with it. One little girl who has a condition so rare only 30 children in the world have it turned on the Christmas tree lights. Part of the condition means she's rendered deaf, but in sign language she thanked everyone for coming and wished them a merry Christmas and a (this will kill you, trust me)...a prosperous new year. She's ten years old you fat fuck, and unlikely to enjoy too many more Christmases.

One other young man sang in a duet, and he had a good voice too, he too won't reach adulthood. Several of the kids from the hospice were there too fat twat; and all of them will never reach your age, most will never reach twenty. A good amount even younger, as young as 6 months old.

I didn't feel overly emotional this time though, I can't explain that; maybe because they looked at life and faced it with a raised chin and a spine and said 'C'mon fucker, give me all you have, I can take it', and I'd feel bad crying on their behalf when they can smile and in some cases laugh at their situation, what right do I have to complain at the shit in my life when they don't? ALL of them and their parents have more guts, selflessness, compassion and sheer humanity than you could possibly imagine.

[edit]
I almost forgot; One guy, a local sports personality was due to read something. He didn't, because the day before his own daughter had been diagnosed with a spinal tumor, cruel irony eh Senda? What would be cruel irony for you? Finding that you had to wash your arse after a day and finding out you didn't need to?

You're still a pile of dog shit being sieved through a string vest with extra filth thrown in. You puke festering fat fucking shit pile.

My baby niece was on chemotherapy for cancer from 6 months to 3 years. No money or insurance but her oncologist re-opened a wing in the  hospital just for her and other little angels like her, so they could be treated regardless of circumstances.  She didn't have hair until she was 3 1/2 years of age, and she was as fragile as a snowflake, but she has shown more courage in facing her infirmity and painful therapy as an infant than I see on this thread from a fully grown adult who complains about a bad knee and medical services for the "undeserving". Oh, and today she's a gorgeous redheaded adult, so there really are deserving people and good things happen to them.

That was a moving post, YP, a love letter to the courage and spirit of those children and their families. I hope each and every one of them gets a miracle, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem to the smug and self-entitled. To them, it would be everything.

Ok, penultimate episode of the series, Heaven Sent. Who thought it was brilliant? Who thought it was rubbish? Who's still butthurt about the sonic sunglasses?

For the record, I thought it was a tour de force by Capaldi. Last 5 minutes: Holy Crap! Last minute: Holy HOLY CRAP!!!! And the sonic sunglasses fit 12 to a T.

Just one Whovian's opinion.  8) <- see what I did there?
