Now that the entire world economy has crashed and burned, the UN is saying that  "we could be facing multiple famines of biblical proportions within a short few months." The UN is now estimating that "265M people will starve in 2020 if no immediate action is taken."
Surprising side effect or expected outcome?  You decide.  The medicine kills orders of magnitude more than the disease.  Fortunately the UN and such have lost all credibility.

I suppose this is why they’ve advised against people taking ibuprofen or asprin.
I wouldn’t suck them toes!

I am quite concerned that when I log into BellGab I do not see anything about the BellGab comprehensive response to the existential threat of COVID 19.  All other business concerns beat me to death with how much they care and that we all need to work together to survive.  Liberace, how can you not glom onto the biggest marketing campaign opportunity of 2020?  I thought this thing was designed to get you money.  Good day to you sir.

Unfortunately suitably magnificent geldings were not able to be located to bear the princes back in the appropriate splendor.  Undaunted, they valiantly tried to enter on foot, but their jodhpurs caught on the chain link containment fence.  Falkie and the cockroaches will be the last things alive on the earth.

P.S.  I think I used to watch Falkie and the Cockroaches on Saturday mornings.  It was a lesser known rival to Josie and the Pussycats.

Man have I been out of it...who the fuck is Tim Ozman? Where did Dave go?
And Heather was host of MITD for a few vainglorious hours. She did a MITD show on her KON network since they couldn’t make DMDN work.  Then she was kicked to the curb again.  You can’t make this shit up.

I can’t watch regular television anymore.  All of the virtue signaling, pretend concern for others and fake canonization of the medical profession makes me want to off myself.

Is this the 2020 Times Square ad blitz?  I bet chefist has some spare cash. However, the irony of this scenario would be delicious.

My favorite is still Tureck's (the one where she is at Wm. F. Buckley's house) but this guy leaves me breathless.

What is the proper temperature to cook bat to?  Can it be served rare?  Or is it the pork of the wet market and only eaten well done?  What wine pairs well with it?  Do you remove the wings or are they considered a delicacy.  What is Nancy Pelosi’s favorite bat dish?  Did COVID-19 come from bats?  So many questions.

I just read an article where they have found six new coronaviruses in bats.  If the official narrative is correct, why can’t we leave bats the fuck alone?  Don’t touch, lick, kiss, fuck or eat them.

It’s comforting to now that the Coronavirus can’t survive in Casa Senda.  His strict cleaning regimen is paying off in spades.

Yes, I’m posting from the other side.  Mrs. whoozit is feeling better and is back at work.   My sister was exposed through her work and got the nose swab test.  Sounds delightful.

I’m is deliciously ironic how the pandemic has turned into a marketing opportunity.  If one more company sends me their response to Coronavirus...

I think there's going to be a far higher risk of infection in a hospital so wearing a mask is going to offer some protection. If you're going to the shops wearing a mask I doubt it will make much difference.
I agree that is what they meant but that is not what was stated.  That is where they lost me.

Science is about using the best available data to make predictions about the future. If the data changes then so does the model. It's about probability rather than certainty. If social-distancing is the best way to reduce the rate of infections then revising the numbers down illustrates its effectiveness not the weakness of the modelling. People are terrible at understanding probability.
My point is that computer models are not science, they are guesses.  Someone takes a guess at the assumptions and generates a result. I find nothing wrong with varying estimates during a crisis.  What I find frightening is our reliance on computer models.  They are crap.  I also find conflicting information or possible lies a problem.  Not long ago we were being told not to wear masks because they don’t work and furthermore the healthcare professionals need them.  Please explain to me why healthcare workers need something that is ineffective.  I still think the coming world depression due to crippling  all economies is going to kill far more than this pandemic.

We go from millions will die in the US to tens of thousands will die.   And now social distancing will be hailed as the reason for the decline instead of the badly flawed models.  I suspect the models basically have someone type in a number and print it back out.
