I will not fight Falkie, or George as he has asked me to call him.  He hasn’t done anything to me, and was supportive as I dealt with the personal issues that I was going through this week.  Others may try to goad me into it, and I’m not even necessarily talking about Drone, but I will not do it.  I’ve been on this thread for the entertainment value as I’ve stated before, and I am grateful for the bit of levity that this thread brings me each day as I battle my personal demons.

This thread is about Falkie, and not about Open Lines Gerry.  I don’t mean to get this all sidetracked, but wanted to provide a bit of a further explanation of my post that I quoted above.  Ol’ Gerry is not proud of many of the things that he’s done, and the boozing has been the key contributor.  I’m trying to deal with that, and appreciate the support that several of you have PM’d to me.  I’m only sharing this as what I’d call a cautionary tale, and also an explanation of why I’ve tried to help George.

I was always what you’d call a social drinker, but it started to cross the line into being a serious problem that affected my family and home life.  I hit a low point one night when I got hammered in an airport bar in Denver.  I was waiting to catch a flight to see my father, “Pap” as we called him, who lay dying in the hospital.  Well, Ol’ Gerry was so drunk and belligerent that they wouldn’t let him on the plane.  Pap died the next morning, and I would have been there if I hadn’t been drinking.  I’ve never forgiven myself, and I never will.

I had a lot of unresolved issues with Pap, and not being there when he passed sent me into a tail spin.  My first marriage was already in trouble before that, and when my drinking spiraled out of control, my wife ended up leaving me, and she took the kids with her.  Although I never got physical with her, Ol’ Gerry crossed the line verbally and emotionally.  The booze only made things worse.  My son, Gerry Jr., was (and I’m sure is) very protective of his mother, and he’s never wanted anything to do with me since then.  I haven’t spoken with Gerry Jr. in over ten years, even though I’ve tried to reach out to him through his sister.  He looks a lot like his old man, and I’m sure that he hates what he sees every time that he looks in the mirror because it reminds him of his upbringing.  I hope that Gerry Jr. is, and will be, a better man than his father.

Which brings us back to George Senda, and my attempt at atonement.  Falkie reminds me a lot of Pap, and when I saw his fight for dignity and respect on this thread, I knew that I had to try to help him.  I want him to get YouTube views.  I want him to interview more personalities, and I want him to achieve the success that he desires.  I’ve let Pap down, and it haunts me that I’ve let Gerry Jr. down too, but if I can help people like Falkie â€" and others not affiliated with BellGab â€" then maybe I can make some sort of contribution to this world.

Ol’ Gerry still has trouble resisting the bottle even now.  The sauce is a tempting mistress, and I try to turn her down as much as I can, but sometimes my nerves get to me, and I hear those demons in my ear, and I can’t resist.  But I’ll try.  Thanks for listening to a foolish old man.  Now let’s all get back to the reason why we’re here!

That's because he has a pathological hatred of women. Look at how he treats all the women of BellGab whilst not daring to take any of the men to task. Not to mention the treatment of his own beloved Kathy who he was more than happy to see living in a cardboard box while he spends her eviction fund on useless Apple products that he had no idea how they work. I won't even mention the claims of abuse.

Maybe under 50 bucks, with me making up the largest amount. I donated to fund his Dave trip/interview for his and everyone's enjoyment.
Can't expect him to be prepared, he's Falkie! No biggie, I can afford it.

There are millions of Falkie's in country, getting an insight into 'one' is IMHO well worth the price of admission.
