Hello "X", how are youuuuuuuuuuuu?

Does anyone notice that, when GN has a guest on who isn't a regular, he opens the conversation by saying "Hello [name], how are youuuuuuuuuuuuuu?" He says the "you" like he's an adult reaching in to tickle a little child. (No wonder there are never in-studio guests.)

Also, why does Ian pronounce Coast to Coast AM like this?

"... right back on Coast to Coast [short pause] A [long pause] Emm???"

...how Margery Punnett handles him when he gets like that...says, quietly and slowly "you just have SO MUCH going on in that head of yours,  don't you?"

Apparently it is because he has SO MUCH going on in his head or maybe an over inflated ego who is to know?

I haven't listened to GN in a good little while now, but when I left off he was saying "HowAreYa"(How-are-yah), like it was one word, in a kind of mid-west folksy way with a dash of MinneSOtan throw in.  Made me cringe and chuckle at the same time.  Always wondered how he expected people to take him seriously.
