I'm not sure what they could do. Maybe treat her for depression. But most of her troubles have come through a combination of low intelligence and a bad/manipulative personality.

Actually, there are very experienced executive coaches who do exactly that kind of work with narcissists and people with sociopathic traits, but they have to have experienced a huge crash and burn that scared them first before they can be coached. Even then, the coaching has to be presented as helping them win smarter, not as remedial, or all is lost <g>.

Sociopathic tendencies, however, are extremely resistant to coaching and/or therapy, so little can be done that will last unless that person decides it's in his/her best interest to change.
