For the record, I'm 28.

You'll have to forgive MD, Kolchak.
He's a grumpy old man who likes to transpose his own realities to others.

If it makes you feel better, gramps then sure. ;D
I've been following the "spirit art" people for more than a decade on Dave's other show and elsewhere. All I can say is that if anyone in the psychic medium world is legit, then they probably are.  If you believe that the phenomenon (after life communication) objectively exists then I'm not sure why you would be so quick to dismiss this particular guest.

The only thing insincere are your feeble attempts at fiction...unless a cure vor insomnia is what you were going for? :D

*sigh*

Just didn't grab me, I guess...and by how the rate of postings dropped tonight I'd say I'm probably not alone either. I'm not triggered. I just call them as I see them. It's all of you who are triggered by that. You can't stand that I've broke your precious consensus. ;D

That is a valid perspective, however you are likely to find that you are often put off by the guests and subject matter on a podcast that primarily deals with the paranormal (with other topics like conspiracy, science, the strange et al thrown in from time to time.).

They dropped alright. All the people that were theorizing about Art's sex life and fixating on Heater figured out that their audience drops off after 11 PM CST.

It's a noble task, but it'll injure even the most pleasant of disposition.

That ain't it and you know it. Until tonight this thread was hard to keep up with. I guess Dave felt his audience was just too big though.  :D

I'm not often put off. If a show's entertaining, that's all I ask. But I do harbor a particular distaste for psychics and how they make their living.

I do have a serious question. I missed the start of tonight's show (didn't tune in until hour two).  Anyway, I tried to send a question through "the wormhole" and it said the site was on hiatus? Here was the question:
I believe that orbs might be real, and more importantly can be proven or at least supported. Take 10,000 photos at 10 reportedly highly haunted places and 10 random places and have independent parties (preferably AI based) "count" the orbs in each group. If real there should be a highly significant difference in numbers counted.

Ummm, did you ever wonder that people may be enjoying the stories too much to post?   I know if I post too much, I stop paying attention to the show.

Up until a couple days ago, people kept on posting about Art and Heather during the show.  Now, the show's thread is about the show during showtime.

OK, how about this formula: I at least want the possibility of some truth being revealed going into a show. If I know it's all bullshit from the start then what's the point?! I'd rather indulge in actual fiction if that's the case.

No, that's it. It's the post-bullshit stabilization of the trolling. It's just that the people that get off on dumpster fires weren't getting much traction during the show and now go fap to porn or whatnot and focus on the daylight hours.

Nope, I never wondered that because it sounds too much like a rabid fan making an excuse for a bad show. ;)

I think some orbs are the real deal but the photos have to be questioned and analyzed thoroughly.

Would still be dismissed immediately as the interplay of optics and dust, no matter the numbers. Well, that shutter firing just got more or less dust, etc...

You just have sour grapes over Dave dumping on your man.  You wouldn't be saying this shit if that didn't happen.

People could also have other things going on. Work, taking kids to school in the morning, long day and just fell asleep before the show started, etc.

#Dear delicious Heather until tonight this thread was peaceful and fun
#but the stinker came back tonight and started fighting with everybody
#Sweet Heather put a curse on him so he dies or kills himself soon

And you're above it all though, right? I mean, you're only here because you're writing a Masters thesis on it or something, right?

Which element of the show precluded that possibility (real truth being revealed)? I will grant you that someone like Dean Radin or Russell Targ is more likely to produce something that you find persuasive. However, not every guest can be of that nature. If this was a medicine show maybe there would be someone from the NIH one night talking about the latest studies supporting the use of ASA for colon cancer prevention. The next night my feature a doctor who proposes that ulcers are caused by bacteria (once a controversial assertion) and how he ingested the bacteria himself to prove the point.

See, you keep trying to troll me, but avoid addressing what I said. You made a claim, I refuted it. Ball up snowflake and write a real answer.

Dave definitely fucked up, never mind all that bullshit about truth. He promised campfire fun, and we got CNN talking points about non compliant citizenry.
