USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD-6) is on fire in Port of San Diego . The fire started at noon EST and was being fought for hours, last I heard they were using foam at 4 pm EST.

When I first read your post I thought you were talking about the USS Iwo Jima LPH-2, Iwo Jima class assault ship. My older brother served on another Gator freighter, the USS Tripoli LPH-10. Wasn't aware there was a newer Iwo Jima sailing around the world :)
