I'm not casting aspersions but saw a good Anthrax/Slayer show the other night but lots of smoke/fog (not from audience, ha, but from machines on stage) at some point I thought a bit too much. Not that they would play a pop-band fake but still, couldn't see guitar work etc lots of times. Mosh pit was weak, I don't know, I'm older and wasn't motivated but from periphery by it (obviously I only buy pit tickets to shows) not that intense. Set and music was tight but not great show. Very good but lacking- something. The audience was still good but some element lacking. Not sure, exactly what.

Since Hanneman died Slayer has been tough for me to take. Plus the way they treated Dave Lombardo was shitty, IMO.
Haven't listened to Anthrax since the 80s, but I'm a John Bush mark so I followed from a distance back then.
They both might be better off miming at this point.

Human voices,...at 4:20 guy in red shirt starts famous guitar solo...interesting to look at them performing, but one other way
to enjoy their "music" is to play it but not having their video on the screen and just listening to the "music" ..and all the 'phantom instruments'
