Apparently a difficult aircraft to fly well. This wasn't but at maximum altitude the difference between a stall from going too slow for the wing to gain lift and a stall from the boundry layer breaking away (too fast) is about ten KIAS.

Ive heard that the velocity difference was even less than 10 KIAS on some U2/TR-1 variants.

One of the local RC clubs had a U2 pilot in to to all about flying them.  He said it was definitely not boring.
