when i hear of child pornographers being arrested, i often think about the detectives who must view these images in the course of assembling a case for prosecution.  what a saddening, sinking, heavy experience that must be.  my heart would be beating at 1000x per minute due to the anxiety and fear i'd feel in their position.  i can't watch human suffering.  those detectives probably require special attention to keep them sane.  i'm sure some of them don't manage to stay sane even with the help.

I wonder about that sometimes also, or how more of the suspects don't "trip" while getting into the squad car.

I think convicted sex offenders should be castrated.

At the very least their foreheads should be branded with an X.

think of how much prison space is being occupied by pot smokers/dealers.  also, there are many instances in which pot smokers/dealers spend far more time in prison than child molesters or child pornographers.  that's absolutely shameful.  i'd like to see all of that prison space freed up and used to permanently house those who hurt children.  no attempts at rehabilitation.  i also support the death penalty for child molestation or child pornography in certain cases.  yeah, sorry, i do.

if we could get our heads out of our asses, that would be just great.

These sick fuckers all need to be put on an island.  I am so tired of hearing about how we release this trash back into our society.  If any of you are fans of Louis Theroux, you should watch his documentary on sex offenders.  Its amazing how anyone thinks these people can be rehabilitated.    Down the street about 5 houses down from us, we had a sex offender (not of children, but still a very dangerous guy) that was living under a false name, moved up here to Washington from California and had found himself a wife who put the house in her name.    He got into a car accident and the shitstorm started once police realized who he was.   We have a few cops who live in our neighborhood and they did everything they could to extradite him back to face parole charges.  He's gone now, but it just goes to show you that you never know who your neighbors are.   There was a guy my dad knew from high school that raped his own daughter.   I don't know why my father would even bring us near the guy when we were kids, but he did - I think he felt it was his christian duty to forgive the guy or something.   He never did anything to us of course, but fuck forgiveness!  Even now I still see that shit stain around town sometimes and avoid him like the plague.  What's almost even worse is that his wife stayed with him through all of it.   Why on earth do women allow this shit to happen and then stay with these assholes?  Sorry for the rant, this stuff just infuriates me.  I have two kids, a 4 year old boy and a 1 year old girl, and I don't know how anyone could hurt a child in any way.

By the way, I'm sorry for posting that gary glitter picture now.  I didn't realize what you guys were talking about because I hadn't read the thread.  This isn't a laughing matter, in my opinion.  Forgive me.

Why do you hate islands?

Hello  and high fives to all!

Thanks for the kind words and I definitely appreciate being remembered.  My keyboard is a teenager now t wants to do its own thing, so I have to keep this brief.  I have been very active in politics and cult recovery online with the candidacy of Mitt Romney.  It has been a source of ongoing delight to watch the downfall of Mormonism as my prophesied tipping point of 2012 came and went.  The confluence of the Book of Mormon musical, South Park's episode on Joseph Smith and the exposure of the American electorate to the personality of what we call a "royal Mormon" (money + heritage+celebrity) produced the expected result.  In 2010, Pugh polls reported most Americans thought Mormons were "weird."  In 2013, after the church and the Romney family of filthy rich supporters spent god-only-knows how much money to get their savior installed (by the grace and power....) and an internet Google  "I am a Mormon" campaign in which skaters, skiers, singers, and other admirable people admitted to being Mormon...the Pugh result?  Americans still thought Mormons were "weird."

Had the time of my life and helped a lot of people recover their families and their lives.

Lately I have been moving away from that since the dominoes are falling all around the world and Mormonism is imploding.  I am moving more towards Buddhism, living in the now and working on being a more compassionate person.

Paranormally speaking, I am very interested in the new mermaid discoveries and the deeper idea that our skepticism and confidence that we know all about this planet and need to explore new frontiers in space...may be keeping us from solving the many remaining mysteries here on earth:  bigfoot, mermaids, and one can only guess the wonders that the melting ice may reveal.

Peace and love to all of you!

Anagrammy

PS.  Aquagoat emails me occasionally.  He has gone through great changes in his life --you know when your interest in returning to "normal" exceeds your interest in the "paranormal" you have to drop out for a while.  :)

WTF

He's been arrested and possibly charged with possession of child porn.. Being lost is probably preferable.

Google what, his screen name? You guys seem to somehow know his real name, which I couldn't figure out.

Also, I would have thought it would have been someone like, say, FORT ROCK if it was anyone, heh.

Wow ..he looks so stereotypically pedophile-ish

Stunning, the difference we see between his avatar and FB pics vs. his mug shot.  I know we all post pictures of ourselves that show us in the best light, but damn.

We've all seen things we can't unsee.  I googled him because I was curious too.  Now I want to know who's lurking behind the other avatars on bellgab.   Thank god for Steelbot using his real picture, at least you know what you get with him :)  I suppose I should throw Falkie in that mix too.

Pedos look like anyone, and the less stereotypical the better. They count on appearing likable to get the trust of the kids and families they betray. A kid will trust a nice looking, well dressed person faster than some scuzzy looking scumbag.

I'm pretty live and let live until it comes to pedophiles, or people who download pictures from pedos who put children through unimaginable abuse. Then, even the lowest level of hell isn't good enough.
