I don't get the sock puppet account thing. If I am going to say something I am going to say it under my own account and not some fake ass account.

And just a little real world perspective, none of my friends know who Art Bell is let alone Heather Wade. Most of my friends don't listen to talk radio, if they do it is a podcast based thing. Then again the majority of my friends are in their 40s and 50s.

Anyway kudos for that many views.
Praise MV ;D

Thanks, babe. Good to see u around.

Are you suffering from forum MV?

Well done.

Better yet, get rid of all the stats from the bots and it will pretty much be zero.

You learn so much when you run one of these forums.  :)

So I guess you also know better than Google Analytics...

How To Use BellGab / Re: Search Bar at the Top of the Page

I am sure it takes awhile for google to update its indexes. The bots don't run in real time.

correct.  the original search system wasn't instant, either.  i think it took up to 24 hours to update.

Hey Art...I'm beginning to see why everyone has left this site. It's the smell.

Ok. This is interesting. I do believe Heather is getting better. I've listened about four or five times now in the last month or so. It's been pretty good. Before I could only listen if it was a really good guest and Heather would be more of an annoyance. But recently she seems to be developing a more conversational style, engaged and much more relaxed. She has even been able to make a less than great guest a little better. I'm pleasantly surprised

i haven't listened in a long time, but when i did, she was obviously doing her best art bell impression.  i think if she'd just be herself and loosen up, she'd probably do fine.  based on your description, perhaps that's what she's doing.

No one makes bundt cakes anymore, which is sad.  No other cake has such a tasty crust.  My mom always used to make the one on the solo almond filling can, which is great, but I've been looking everywhere for a pineapple-coconut recipe that uses Coco Lopez and pineapple tidbits had it at a church potluck and it was so stinking good.

I love bundt cake.

Oh MV...how ya doing? Good, good...glad to hear it. Spending all that BellaThon loot wisely, I hope? Nice begging....or, I mean...charity show, by the way.

k...if only I could tell you the real back story on that wrangling thing, and a few more facts about large contracts and how they fared, I think you would probably lose you little 'ratty patty' cookies.

Now piss off, ya little amateur. Go play with your diapers.

i said it once.  guess i have to keep repeating:  i would never sign in to a separate account to point out what a miserable, insufferable cunt bag you are.  go stroke out.

It seems to me that the people in this forum should be proud of her, she was after all one of us.

It seems to me that Heather should be proud of the people of this forum.  She was, after all, one of us.

Yet, she continues masquerading as if she's never heard of this place, which I find to be cowardly and dishonest.  Your assessments of who should be proud and who should offer support... well, that goes two ways.  This forum did far more for her than she's ever considered doing for it, and I find her dismissal of vast swaths of her own history to be less than worthy of my pride or respect.  And why did she so aggressively wipe this place from memory in a fashion that would have made Stalin blush?  Because people said mean things about her!  Such a "strong woman."  So brave and honest.  Ironic considering she spent something like three fucking years here lobbing the same salvos at Noory.

She doesn't get my vote.

I bet you'd change your tune if YOU were the football coach of the yard.

I'm more interested in the "tune" of the family of his murder victim.

Lastly, don't forget that it was a free black man in America who sued to keep his "indentured" servants for life...

Let's all pool our money and start a Bellgab compound in Pahrump.

Will it have built in black light arrays so I can know where not to sit?

btw, just a reminder for you people concerned about MS "spying" on users... install spybot anti beacon.

https://download.spybot.info/AntiBeacon/SpybotAntiBeacon-1.6-setup.exe

even if you're not concerned about MS "spying" on users, you should install it for good measure.  it works in all versions of windows.

latest update of windows 10 on my desktops installed onedrive again. your bat file still works fine. woohoo!
now all they have to do is fix windows defender. putting a notification on the icon just cuz i didn't and won't turn on sampling and cloud services.
other than that, all seems okie dokie.

as a side note, my laptop is still able to block any windows 10 updating and i likes that....

btw, the onedrive app can now be uninstalled from the regular programs and features inside control panel, or through the new apps and features.  the batch file hasn't been necessary for uninstalling onedrive in a few months.  there was an update somewhere along the way to fix that.

Would those making donations then have a say in management of the site, like, say, the continual Mickey-Mousing around with the features?

what are you miffed about, sugar?

The first (annual?) BellGabathon airs tonight from 8PM-Midnight Eastern, 5PM-9PM Pacific.  The purpose is to raise money for BellGab's annual hosting costs.

Listen live at UFOShip.com/chat.

We've moved to a new ShoutCast hosting provider, so the new (permanent) direct listen URL for players like VLC is:  http://janus.shoutca.st:8097

You are correct, sir! That was what I did. Though, groveling and shuffling backwards, I find the new "google BG search" option, lacking. Much as I do the normal Google web search. I don't know what they have done (too much try to "find" what you, in particular, are searching for versus finding information? Or the "fake news" algorithm stuff? Or so many fakers trying to grab clicks by faking their sites with stuff not included on them? I don't know but searching used to be easier on the internet.) Praise and no offense.  ;)

yeah, i know some won't like the google search, but it's here to stay.  using it allows me to decrease the size of the database by about 480MB which is nuts.  a custom bellgab/google search takes almost 100% of the search overhead off of bellgab's server and puts it on google.  and finally, not a single bellgab user has ever said anything good to me about the forum software's built in search.  not once.  the custom google search might be a lateral move for users, but in terms of server overhead, it's a winner.

these tips for refining your google searches also apply to the custom bellgab/google search:

when you click "search" in the menu, it should take you to a custom google search for bellgab.com.  if that's not what the search button in the menu is pointing you to, then you probably need to clear your cache.  how did you attempt searching?  what did you click?

never mind.  i know what you did.  you used the search bar.  i forgot the search bar had been re-added after i had to do a clean install of the forum software the other night.  i didn't see it because i always keep the header collapsed on my screen.

Tried to search for an old post and I got this reply:
"
An Error Has Occurred!
You are not allowed to search for posts in this forum."

I guess I am banned, at least in searching, on the forum? Praise MV for letting me still post, at least. I am not worthy.  ;)
