I've noticed that we have a lot of people on the forum interested at least tangentially in aviation and we have a variety aviation themed threads, but no consolidated thread dedicated to it. So whether you like military aircraft, black projects, experimental aircraft, or just plain ol' civil aviation then this is the place to discuss it.

If you have any news or interesting stuff to share then feel free. Ask any aviation question you have and I'm sure someone will answer (or try to).

So to start off with, here's some videos:

A French soldier on guard at the Louvre in Paris has opened fire at a suspected attacker, media reports say.
The soldier is reported to have been attacked with a knife and his assailant seriously injured.
The attacker is said to have been trying to enter the museum. A big security operation is reported to be under way at the Louvre and a nearby shopping centre.

A police source told the Reuters news agency a French soldier had opened fire after a man tried to enter the museum with a suitcase..

It just doesn't stop in France.
