Politics / St. Petersburg Russia train bombing 2017Apr3

Time to discuss the railway station bombing in St. Petersburg, Russia.  Is this another Putin false flag?

How soon will we find out it's a Trump supporter.

Random Topics / Super Bowl 2017

I've been a Falcons fan since that first September 1, 1966 game against the Eagles in which the Falcons kicker missed the ball on the opening kickoff.  I watched Dave Hampton become the Falcon's first 1000 yard rusher, only to lose 6-yards on the next play and finish the season with 995-yards.  I saw fullback Art Malone and tight end Jim Mitchell get into a fist fight in the huddle.  The Falcons once lost consecutive games on blocked field goals being returned for touchdowns.

The Falcons are obviously setting us up for more disappointment.  I expect Brady to score at least 100-points in the biggest route in NFL history.

What say you about the big game?

CNN is reporting that two police officers were shot and killed in their cars.  The separate incidents happened about two miles apart in the Des Moines, Iowa area.  Newser pending.

Politics / Zimmerman prosecutor defeated

Andrea Corey, who prosecuted George Zimmerman, came under a lot of criticism both in her district and on this board.  She was defeated in her bid for reelection.

Politics / Terror attack in Nice, France

French press reports 30-dead and more than 100-injured as a truck jumped the curb and mowed down pedestrians celebrating Bastille Day.  More to come

Politics / Bangladesh, Bangladesh

Terrorists have attacked and taken hostages in Dhaka, Bangladesh.  This reminds me of Mumbai, but I suppose it will be done by white, Evangelical, NRA members before the reporting is over.

Politics / Wild speculation about today's White House shooting

It was an obvious Hillary tactic to grab guns after Trump's speech to the NRA.

How To Use BellGab / MV, create a religion category

Could you please create an unmoderated religion category?  I'm as sick of reading religious screeds as I am of political ones.

Politics / This lawsuit could be very interesting for Mr. Obama
« on: August 01, 2014, 05:22:10 PM »
The State of West Virginia has filed suit against the Department of Health and Human Services

According to a news release from the state attorney general, West Virginia alleges that President Obama and his administration repeatedly fail to follow the law on immigration, mining regulation, and the implementation of the Affordable Care Act.
“The President cannot pick and choose which laws to follow and which to ignore on the basis of political convenience,” Attorney General Morrisey said. “West Virginia knows first-hand the consequences that the administration’s illegal and flawed interpretation of the law can have on our coal mining jobs. This lawsuit simply asks the Court to require the Obama Administration to follow the laws and restore the constitutional boundaries on presidential authority. Unfortunately, the President has shown time and again that he is willing to ignore or go around Congress to promote his agenda, and that can’t continue. Prevailing in this lawsuit will help our state’s efforts to limit the President’s activities in important areas that have painful implications on coal miners and West Virginia’s economy.”
Unlike the idiotic House of Representatives lawsuit, the State of West Virginia will actually have standing in this case.

Politics / Bush lied, but maybe not about this
« on: July 09, 2014, 02:10:58 PM »
You know the mantra - Bush lied, people died.  Bush lied about WMDs.
How is it then, that, according to the Associated Press, ISIS has seized old rockets filled with Sarin nerve gas?  If they weren't there, how are they there?
UNITED NATIONS (AP) — The Islamic State extremist group has taken control of a vast former chemical weapons facility northwest of Baghdad, where remnants of 2,500 degraded chemical rockets filled decades ago with the deadly nerve agent sarin are stored along with other chemical warfare agents, Iraq said in a letter circulated Tuesday at the United Nations.

Politics / Supreme Court rules on abortion vs. religion
« on: June 30, 2014, 10:25:11 AM »
In the Hobby Lobby case, the US Supreme Court decided that Obamacare violates the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (passed during the Clinton Administration) and that closely held corporations cannot be required to pay for abortion and some types of contraception if the owners of the corporation have religious objections.
Let the hating begin.

Random Topics / Solaris on a PC?
« on: March 25, 2014, 11:30:08 AM »
I have an old laptop on which Windows no longer works.  I was going to get some Linux distro and use that to completely erase the hard disk.  Then I thought that I might as well go ahead and install Linux.  Then I thought I might install Solaris, since it's free.  Has anyone done this?  Any thoughts?

Last night Richard Dolan revealed that the CIA infiltrates operatives into UFO organizations to destroy them and end their investigations.  He pointed specifically to NICAP.

Which of you clowns are the CIA operatives here?  Quick Karl?  Nowhere in Time?  Aldous?  Jazmunda? Ft. Rock?
Admit it. We're on to you.

Technology / How am I going to record 24?
« on: February 08, 2014, 04:40:07 PM »
OK, Chloe is coming back, Goth hair, all leather, bright red Docs and neck tats.  I will probably miss it some nights - how will I be able to record it?
I have no cable and no satellite.  I get more than enough TV from my 23-free over-the-air channels.  It would appear that all the DVR's require one to pay a monthly fee.  I'll be damned if I'm going to buy a recorder then pay the bastards a fee for free TV.

Any suggestions?  I guess I could dig out my old DVD recorder and see if they still make DVD-RW discs.

Politics / Washington, DC shootings
« on: September 16, 2013, 05:50:16 PM »
Shooting today in Washington, DC at a navy yard and at the White House.  The lone gunman was shot and killed this morning, at least 6-hours before the White House shooting.  I suppose this will turn out to be white, tea-bagger, conservative riff-raff.  Or maybe the Ku Klux.

Technology / Game Boy help
« on: May 11, 2013, 06:53:32 AM »
I'm writing a story that will be the next great American novel - ha.  It has a boy character about 8 and takes place in 1992 or so.  Said boy has a Game Boy - one of the old monochrome screen versions.  I know that Tetris came bundled, but what other games would he have wanted to buy?  Surely, there are some former Game Boy fans on this site.

Paranormal - Conspiracy - UFOs - Etc. / Higgs boson found - maybe
« on: March 14, 2013, 10:01:35 AM »
The AP is reporting scientists believe they have found the Higgs boson.  How will sNoory celebrate the event - Hoagland?, Bara?  Or will he turn to Tommy and say, "Bos'n?  We had plenty of those low level sailors when I was an officer in the Navy.  You know, I received a special request from the president to join up."

Politics / Mayan calendar end times proven correct
« on: December 21, 2012, 06:37:48 PM »
The end times predicted by the Mayan calendar proved correct.  I've begun another thread, because this one involved politics.  The politicians failed to come to an agreement that keeps us from jumping off the "fiscal cliff."  They gave up and went home today. We have obviously taken the route proposed by the gentleman in Sedona, and are jumping into a portal.  The Mayans were right.

Random Topics / Sign the petition to build a Death Star

Yes, indeed, Star Wars fans, you, too, can help build a Death Star.  On the website, there is a petition to build the fearsome weapon by 2016. At this writing, almost 26,000 people have signed it.

Maybe sNoory can get the originator on as a guest.

Random Topics / Who pissed off the women?
« on: July 22, 2012, 07:47:11 PM »
I haven't seen a post by one of our female members in days and days.  Who made them mad?

A friend of mine has put up a short book he is giving away free - Infrared Dead

Here's the blurb
Mambo Ramirez, Metro City’s most inept private detective, is on the job again. After a chance encounter with an old high school classmate, the well-endowed and sexually voracious Meryl Shepard, Mambo is hurled into a landscape filled with dark and sinister forces.

Once the investigation begins, Mambo, along with his trusty sidekick, Floyd Barton, finds himself dealing with channeled alien spirits,  a dysfunctional and fate-driven Mexican car, a mysterious sacred Hopi pot, a shady Bigfoot hunter, and a media critic infatuated with sixties boy bands. This case may be Mambo’s biggest challenge. But challenges are nothing new to Mambo, who suffers from seizure disorder – and an inability to form a coherent investigative plan.

Questions abound: Has Dr. Zorba’s new therapeutic approach finally put a brake on Floyd’s habit of streaking nude down the roads of Metro City? Will Mambo succumb to Meryl’s enticing charms? And what is Floyd doing running around in a rumpled sailor’s uniform?

With the help of fate, Tippy Toes the cat, Floyd, and a large red brick, will Mambo solve the secrets of The Infrared Dead? Nobody knows – least of all Mambo.

Here's the link - all he asks is that you return to the download site and leave an honest comment

Radio and Podcasts / Happy Birthday, Art
« on: June 17, 2012, 04:56:35 PM »
It's Art's birthday - hope it's a great one.  Born June 17, 1945, aboard Camp LeJeune, Onslow County, North Carolina.  At that time, Onslow County had about 465 permanent residents.

Whatever happened to guests who have actually done something rather than write a book about somebody else doing something - I mean guests such as Mel who discover a hole, the guy who shot a bigfoot years ago but didn't report it because he was afraid of being charged with murder, the guys who had a bigfoot in their freezer, the guy who had trapped a spirit in a force field and was afraid to turn it loose, the time travelers, the various people who were abducted by aliens, the folks who have seen the space aliens being held by the U.S. government, the people who just knew the black helicopters were spying on them - those were the guests that made Coast.  Has everyone lost his or her imagination, or are these folks just not interested in appearing with sNoory?

Paranormal - Conspiracy - UFOs - Etc. / Lack of new life forms
« on: March 09, 2012, 02:04:34 PM »
It seems to me that we have a lack of new life forms on Coast.  Shadow people, rods and that spirit the guy in Arkansas trapped were all revealed by Art.  Is sNoory so boring that new life forms are choosing to debut on another medium?
