Got one yesterday.  It was too coarse to wipe my ass with, so I tore it up.

Good kindling except I just bought a case of starter logs.

I'll be seeing senator Cruz today. He should do pretty well in South Carolina. He's got a good organization here. He's spent some time down here. It'll be interesting to see what he has to say today.

We had a great event this morning. We packed the house and the crowd was enthusiastic.  Russia never came up. However, you may want to ask Trump that question -- you know,  mr. "militaristic."

I already know Trump's answer to the question, as well as that of Cruz, which is yet another reason Reverend Cruz won't get my support. Trump wants to make Russia an ally against ISIS, while Cruz wants to set up a no fly zone in Syria and shoot down Russian jets who enter it. Insanity. Probably something in the bible tells him this is the way forward, but I'd like my kids to grow up eating fruits and vegetables free of radioactive fallout, if that's OK with Cruz's big money backers.

And it's all for what, by the way? American "control" over the cesspool that is Syria is worthy of risking a major military confrontation with Russia, a nuclear power? Christie, Fiorina, and Bush all want to do the same thing. Cruz is in great company. Such a"conserrrrrrrvative."

I can't wait to see the Cruz campaign fizzle. And it will.

Ooh, and I forgot to add, Hillary also wants the Syrian no fly zone. More great company.

Oh, please. Spare me your simplistic geopolitical views which are ridiculous at best, and disastrous at worst. Honestly, it seems as if you watch a bit too much late night television.

Your candidate of choice, Trump, is going to be in way over his head on day one. Perhaps he`ll just get bored and quit. If we`re lucky.

and spare me your neoconservative retardation that's done nothing but 1) lose elections for republicans, 2) cost limitless amounts of money, 3) needlessly kill thousands of american soldiers and 4) lose elections for republicans (deliberately repeated).  we've been trying things your way for as long as i've been alive.  thank god your contribution to geopolitical policy is limited to the horse shit you routinely vomit on bellgab.

^^This is indicative of the state of dysfunction within the GOP.  The way it looks now there is NO chance in hell of any republican candidate winning the presidency.  The party is on its death bed, stuck in the middle of leaders in denial who can't even agree on a plan to resuscitate.

I am not sure the democratic party is in much better shape. I am concerned about the viability of both Sanders and Clinton. I would love to see Sanders win, can he? I don't think the media will give him a fair showing. Hillary, although I think smart enough to deal with the establishment, I am convinced her popularity is illusory.

Trump, and I never thought I would say this, is looking like he is in a position to make it a heck of a race.

Neither party wants the (what I believe) popular candidate.

So to me, it is a "who knows" situation.

When I hear Sanders call Hillary a "two-faced cunt" or Hillary retort with "Brooklyn kike", I may start agreeing with you.
So far they've kept it spirited, at best, in the debates.
Hillary, IMHO, is too emboldened to the same Wall Street fucks that have bought the rest. That's why she's still TRUMPeted as the frontrunner.

The one thing Trump and Cruz have in common is they're both storefront conservatives.  I think most Republican voters will eventually see through their deceptive advertising.  Also, the critical, negative campaign style of both may ultimately alienate their moderate voters who are looking for substance, and they need the moderate voters to even consider a win.

I still see Trump as an aberrancy rather than a serious candidate.  His clichéd, superficial sound bites are already wearing thin.  His 3rd grade level speech following the NH primary should have embarrassed him and his handlers.  His biggest supporters seem to be the reality TV crowd who may not be inclined to get out of the Lazy Boy and vote.

Regardless of whether the Dems choose Hillary or Bernie, either could easily win over the pathetic Republican choices.

My God,  you are an impetuous child, aren't you? Exactly what point would you like addressed? No Fly zone? Really? If you honestly believe a nuclear exchange hinges on what happens in a limited fly zone over a disputed area where innocent civilians are being slaughtered wholesale by the Russians -- and there boy  Assad -- then you're a whole lot dumber than I thought you were. And that's a pretty f****** low bar, pal.

Both sides have horribly old ideas - the progressives go back almost a 100 years and pull from Socialist ideologies that divide and indebt countries.
The conservatives are trying to pull from the Bible - seeing it as a morally superior manual by which to tax and create laws from. Having this singular choice to make - I think either side wholly committed to their own system of belief is a horrible choice for the country. This is why I am a moderate because both sides do have some ideas that work.

Choosing between Trump and Cruz is about as meaningful as expressing a preference between ass cancer and dick cancer.

- RCD, uniting the right since 1996 -

Sanders 2016

"Teen Tit" films Ted isn't going to win the nomination for Republicans.

He is a loathsome, soulless, middle-management type idiot who only ascended to middle-management by marry the owner's daughter.

I'll confess. I'm in a quandry.  I don't find Ted Cruz particularly likable.  I understand the perceptions of people who see him as slimy and disingenuous.  However, his record speaks for itself.  He's the only one in our government who has truly defied the Establishment.  He has done nothing that indicates he is something other than who he claims to be. A true constitutional conservative.  I would probably prefer Carson as the nominee.  He comes across as kind and thoughtful but strong in his conservatism but I don't think he can win.  He is on his way out.  Trump does not have conservative credentials.  For all we know, he could be just like Obama in his authoritarianism.   Rubio may be conservative but he has ruined his record with the gang of 8 bill.  As for the rest, they are all Establishment cronies.  I will support Trump if he is the nominee but with reservations.

I fear that if Cruz is elected, the country will become even more divisive with the left and moderates attacking him at every chance.  The same thing would happen if Sanders was President except the right and moderates would be attacking him. This worries me but the country cannot continue going in the direction that it is on now.  The government is becoming ever more intrusive and diminishing our freedoms.  The corporations have full reign over the government.  Frankly, I wouldn't mind seeing a Cruz/Sanders ticket.  Corporate welfare needs to end.  Election rules need to be rewritten concerning pacs.   I agree with Sanders completely on those points.  I just don't see government as the solution to all of society's ills.  Government "solutions" only create more problems.  Both men seem to really care about the country as does Trump.  I'd like to get behind Trump but I fear he is just like the rest of the politicians in Washington.  He's willing to play "Let's Make A Deal."

So with all that said, unless something changes,  I will be voting for Cruz.  I hope I don't later regret it.

Well, that`s interesting, especially in light of Cruz`s resume, which includes multiple successful arguments before the USSC in defense of the U.S. Constitution.

That said, whether Cruz wins the GOP nomination or not, I plan to vote for the party`s nominee. Even if it`s Trump, as horrid a prospect as that is, he`s still the lesser of evils when compared to Fidel Castro and Clara Zetkin.

Not a Cruz supporter and share your desire to avoid World War III with Putin. The best way to do that is to make sure he's worrying about it just as much as we do. That and avoiding confrontation when possible has worked well to this point.

The trick is in not trying overly hard to avoid confrontation. This relationship doesn't benefit from demonstrating what the Russians consider to be weakness.

Cruz is not a Hawk like most in the GOP.  He's more like Rand Paul.  He'll be tough but not itching to get into foreign entanglements.  He will renew old alliances with Europe and Israel but I think he'll be cautious.

Yay, a moderate. We get no respect from either side of the aisle and may well be eradicated by a massive pincer movement from the opposing liberal and conservative forces. We have no principles, are as spineless as jellyfish and cannot be trusted to loyally support the winning side in the giant red-blue color war that is almost upon us. Shoot us now and put us out of your misery.
