time spent as a doorman in a past life has forced me to come to some concrete conclusions.

1. When a woman is physically trying to beat your ass, you need to do something (I'm not a fan of the biting, scratching crap and do not wish to loose a chunk of flesh.)

2. The best way to deal with it is to restrain her (generally.)  I had the advantage that usually the police were on their way already (almost every time a woman went after me it was because her boyfriend was being restrained.)**  Usually they don't attack you if it is a cat fight you are breaking it up...

3. Unless it is big Birtha (or a certain woman I know nameed Amanda, who will probably beat the living shit out of you before you would even get an arm up to block) there is no reason to hit a woman.

The long and the short of it is that if you are 230lbs and you honestly think that knocking any woman "into the middle of next week" is acceptable, you need help.  It is no longer "defending" yourself as you ought to be able to find another way (unless it is Amanda, then you are probably fucked and should not have pissed her off to start with...)

**I'm reminded of the one time when the RCMP showed up after being called for her boyfriend and I opened their back door, tossed her in and apologized to them... Yes, I knew the officers- I was trying not to put her to the ground, but she was biting, scratching, screaming and even spitting.  I tried letting her go once, but she decided to hit another doorman who was holding her BF.  The crowd was actually cheering for me to put her down- quite something... No, you are not supposed to put anybody in the back of a cop car on your own.

All good advice.  Of course I've never been physically assaulted by a woman but when I was much younger I was forced to subdue a grown man in the line of duty on three occasions.  In each case it involved a hip throw or a leg sweep (basic stuff) and I did not have to use a night stick or throw a punch.  The fact that all three were drunk helped a lot and the best part is that no one, including me, was seriously injured.  I suspect that muscle memory would take over again if a woman started throwing punches at me but that I would not find it necessary to take her down unless I thought she was about to take me down.  All that said, I like to think I would never allow myself to get into a situation where that sort of thing might occurr.  You only do that kind of shit when you're young and stupid?

I see what you mean about the English Aesthetic Movement...all those dimly lit pre-turn of the century landscapes; the dreary persistence of it all. The influence just sometimes looks so Dutch to me. Oh well. It's been quite a few years since my art history and philosophy classes.

'Course, I can't now seem to get the image of thousands of excited Noritake employees riding English and Italian tour buses all muttering to themselves 'art for art's sake, but money for God's sake'. Thank-you-very-much.

Aristotle would plutz.

One loose thread; I'm pretty sure (not positive) that this-all might help explain the origin or underlying meaning of term "Pre-Raphael(ite). Raphael, not Michelangelo, has always been considered THE High Renaissance master. So, that which came "before" (pre) the High Italian Renaissance is probably being invoked and certainly jives with the overall movement back to slightly older models at least -- if not the full blown Gothic antiquity quite yet (it's relative simplicity if stripped of ornament).  Pre-Raphael is a highbred, not abandoning the "higher" but revisioning it's skill-set employed within a slightly earlier simpler. . . I just cheated and looked/Googled it, it's characterized by being "vaguely medieval" -- so I was right. Blah blah, nuff said.

Further to the discussion on North Korea, it goes without saying that I don't see eye to eye with this guy on everything but he is a very astue observer and analyst and he knows what he 's talking about in most instances.   Whether you are on the right or left he's worth listening to and I think he's sized up the situation with NK  pretty well.

Dude! That's a woman.

Okay, so I have been attacked by a woman but I thought it was foreplay until she got me in a full Nelson and I had to tap out.

Oh shit!  This is not the first time I've made that mistake.

So...why the new war stance from Trump? Here's a very interesting interview about just that.

(oh and with the two sexiest women on television, I might add)  :)

He couldn't hear as there was a democra-dick in every hole then and he was very satisfied.  Trump just won't get down that way for him so now he's going to pout for the next 4 years. ;)

Can I call you Fred? Let me check the by-laws.

Alex Jones' attorney, Randall Wilhite, said that his client who has said he believes 9/11 was an inside job is not the same person off the air as he is on it. Wilhite drew a comparison to judging Jack Nicholson based on his role as the Joker in Batman.

"He's playing a character," he said. "He is a performance artist."

Just what I always thought.  Astounded that he pays his ex $43,000 a month!  There's a lot of money to be made being a huckster.

I'm pretty sure a huckster like Anderson Cooper makes even more.  ;) ;)

I'm not a fan of Cooper but Jones definitely has gotten wealthy being sensationalistic and feeding off of fears.

Never been an Alex Jones fan but i like laughing at his memes. It was pretty obvious that he had an on screen character and he was probably different in real life. If he didn't do crazy over the top antics he wouldn't be as well known. It's a shame his (((wife))) is trying to keep him from his kids but at least he did the right thing and risked trashing his career by trying to be a good father. If his show goes tits up because of it i will miss seeing his rage remix videos.

Yeah, @ #NeverTrump, but most of you are faggot establishment shills who think Karl Rove, Dick Cheney and George Bush Jr. did a great job

You were also attempting to put Hillary Clinton in the White House, an abomination of all sorts.

You think you are safe when the day of the rope comes?  Nope, you will be right up there with the rest of globalist, merchant bankers.

Its a bit of a dilemma for AJ. His fans think he's for real. His ex wife says he's for real. But now his lawyer says he's a parody. To get anywhere in court, AJ will possibly follow his lawyer's lead and claim he really is full of shit on air. That won't go well with the fans who listen and pay for whatever crap he's selling.

Do you mean to say Cohn and Kushner aren't 'globalist'? Because if you've been reading along, those two are steering the government lately, depending on how diseased the president's cerebellum is that day of the week.

Young Jared and his family have quite a bit to lose if Obamacare goes belly up. I know you're a child, but don't be so naive.

In other news; Trump has congratulated Erdogan. Remarkable considering the WH previous stance was the election wasn't clean, and indeed there is evidence of it being rigged.
Erdogan an now enjoy pretty much complete totalitarian rule for at least the next ten years. No wonder Trump sent his good wishes. If only he could have the same instead of those pesky Reps, Senators and voters.

So disgusted is Trump with those, he's installed them in his cabinet. You knew that right? Yeah? You did?

I mean you have to laugh, their 'movement' has already been hijacked from within by RINOs and center-left moderates, and they're still stammering about the globalists.

They will eat Paul Ryan last, because they're too dumb now to realize that he is the establishment.
