INTERNATIONAL Affairs Thread
« on: November 02, 2016, 10:37:55 PM »
I was thinking that having "INTERNATIONAL Affairs Thread" could serve good purpose for posting
various news items from countries all over the World without creating too many separate threads.

I like the separate Russia thread for example -Russia is very important country on the international scene and it deserves it's own thread,
but for miscellaneous news from around the World this might serve good purpose.
MV,if this is bad idea please move this thread and join with other threads.

"4 mosques closed in France for spreading ‘radical ideology’"
https://www.rt.com/news/365149-france-four-mosques-closed/
Published time: 2 Nov, 2016 22:46

**French authorities have closed four mosques in the Paris region for promoting the ideology of radical Islam under the state of emergency
as France continues to tackle the issue of home-grown radicalism following a number of high-profile terrorist attacks.

French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve has issued an order authorizing the administrative closure of four Muslim preaching schools
in the Paris suburbs of Yvelines, Seine-Saint-Denis and Val-de-Marne, a statement by the French Interior Ministry says.
The mosques were closed under the state of emergency for the spread of “hatred and violence,” the statement says,
adding that “under the guise of ritual ceremonies, these places [harbored] meetings aimed at promoting radical ideology,
[which is] contrary to the values of the [French] Republic and may constitute a serious risk to security and public order.”**

...so looks like French ARE growing pairs of balls and starting to show to the radical muslim idiots who is the boss in France.
Bravo France let's hope this is just a start and that other countries in EU will do the same...especially UK

"War waged against Pope in the heart of the Vatican" - whistleblower

Published time: 29 Aug, 2016 08:30

**Europe’s smallest country - the Vatican, led by the pontiff - is one of the most powerful states on the planet,
a moral compass for more than a billion people. However, over the past decades, the Catholic Church has suffered a number of scandals
and its congregations are crying out for change. Pope Francis came with the promise of change.

But while addressing issues plaguing mankind, what kind of battle is he forced to wage in the Holy See?
Are the highest clergy against him, or have they joined his cause? For centuries, the Vatican has been shrouded in mystery,
its internal deals secreted behind closed doors. However, one person managed to get through and came back to tell his story.
Investigative journalist, author of ‘Merchants in the Temple’, Gianluigi Nuzzi, is on Sophie&Co today.**

"Aftermath of US-led coalition airstrike near Mosul, which killed at least 8" (EXCLUSIVE VIDEO)
https://www.rt.com/news/365141-aftermath-mosul-airstrike-victims/
Published time: 2 Nov, 2016 20:00

**RT’s video agency Ruptly has filmed the aftermath of a deadly US-led coalition airstrike, which hit a home on the outskirts of the Iraqi city of Mosul.
The agency also spoke to a man whose eight relatives died in the attack.
Yousuf Mohammed Yousuf showed Ruptly the graves of his brother’s family, including the man’s pregnant wife,
their children and grandchildren, in Fadhiliya village near Mosul.

“The owner of this house was called Amer Mohammed Yousuf, my brother. His family was eight persons.
On October 22, 2016, between 7:30 and 8:00 am, aircraft attacked this area and destroyed this house," Yousuf said.
Kurdish troops fighting in the area as well as local officials have also said the house was destroyed in an airstrike.
Nobody survived as the family home was hit twice during an airstrike, which Yousuf blames on the US-led coalition.
He also showed the ruins that was the home of the deceased family.

"I think they are the NATO, but [I am] not quite sure whether they were French, Canadian or US.
I only know that they hit this area and destroyed everything," he said.**

...very sad story, and shame on the coalition air force --I hope there will be international outrage and investigation to find out
who did it /at least this time they can not blame on Russia/

"Russia & Turkey contemplate free trade pact in 2017"
https://www.rt.com/shows/sophieco/240993-hungary-prime-minister-sanctions/
Published time: 2 Nov, 2016 11:09

**Ankara is considering entering into a free trade agreement with Russia as soon as next year, Turkish Trade Minister Bulent Tufenkci told RIA Novosti.
The two countries want to restore trade and economic relations following a dispute over the downing of a Russian jet last year.
"Considering the process of normalization in our relations with Russia and the possibility of signing a free trade agreement in 2017, we expect growth in all the areas of the economy and trade,” said the minister.

He added the sides will continue to discuss trade in national currencies - the Turkish lira and the Russian ruble. “That will ensure mutual trade and expand its capabilities,” said Tufenkci.

According to the minister, Russia remains Turkey’s main trading partner and Moscow’s decision to lift the ban on some fruit imports from Turkey is a very important step in restoring relations.
Following the downing of a jet last November, Moscow imposed sanctions on Turkish goods, fruit and vegetables, as well as travel restrictions and reintroduced visa rules for Turkish people. As a result of the measures trade between the countries contracted 25 percent to $23 billion.**

"‘Mannequin limb’ protest: Russian ambassador concerned by UK’s unwillingness to protect embassy"
https://www.rt.com/news/365369-russia-embassy-limb-protest/
Published time: 4 Nov, 2016 18:10

*The unwillingness of UK authorities to provide security for Russia’s embassy raises concerns, as the unhampered ‘mannequin limb’
protest rendered the mission dysfunctional, Russian ambassador to the UK Aleksandr Yakovenko told RT.
Earlier on Friday, campaigners dumped around 800 mannequin limbs outside the Russian embassy in London in protest Moscow’s military involvement in Syria.
“We’re concerned with the unwillingness of the British authorities to provide the proper protection of the embassy,” Yakovenko told RT.

“The physical security of the embassy was compromised” because the “protestors were allowed physically close to the entrance
by the British authorities,” he stressed.
According to the ambassador, the actions of the protestors weren’t as harmless as they might seem at first glance.*

"CIA agent attacked US Embassy guard in Moscow – Russian Foreign Ministry"
https://www.rt.com/news/349058-cia-us-embassy-moscow/
Published time: 30 Jun, 2016 19:47

*The US uses its media to spread outright lies about Russia, the Russian Foreign Ministry said, dismissing a report by the Washington Post
about a ‘US diplomat’ 'beaten' by Russian security. In fact, it was a US spy who attacked a Russian police officer.
“US State Department and security services have been actively using the Washington Post for disseminating distorted
information and outright lies about “harassment” of the US diplomats in Russia,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said,
commenting on a report by the US newspaper on the alleged beating of a US diplomat by Russian security staff.

The story in the report was completely made up, Zakharova said, dismissing the report published on June 29,
in which the Washington Post claimed that a “Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) guard stationed outside the US Embassy
in Moscow attacked and beat up a US diplomat who was trying to enter the compound.”
/
She also emphasized that the attack on the police officer was recorded by the CCTV cameras and presented
to the US State Department “long ago,” with Russian Foreign Ministry filing a protest over the incident.

It was later revealed that the man who attacked the officer was in fact a CIA agent, who worked in Russia under diplomatic cover
and was returning from a mission on the night of the attack, the spokeswoman stressed,
adding that the agent apparently tried to escape recognition.

She also said that information about the ‘diplomat’s’ allegedly broken shoulder reported by the Washington Post report
is also false and was disproved by a video presented by the US side to the Russian ministry.*

...you see American media is fabricating stories lying sometimes ;)  /sometimes/

*Andy Mann takes the Typhoon H to "Upward Places"*
http://iq.intel.com/drone-photography-vertical-adventures/
Published on Aug 19, 2016

*Andy Mann’s passion for daredevil climbing and multimedia storytelling is reaching new heights since he began
using the Yuneec Typhoon H with Intel RealSense technology, a drone that can see.

Being stuck between a rock and hard place is when Andy Mann is at his best.
For kicks, he climbs barehanded, wedging fingers and feet into nooks and crannies to scale some of sheerest cliffs Mother Nature has to offer.
There are few things the 36-year-old rock climber, diver and arctic explorer likes more than defying gravity
and even death…except capturing and creating visual stories about the thrill of these vertical conquests.

He seeks out remote summits with spectacular views, often only seen from the sky.
Mann used to capture images from the ground or while clinging to a rock alongside other climbers,
but his creativity was unleashed when he bought his first camera-equipped drone.*

"First Russia, Now China Warns Its Citizens To Prepare For War"
Published on Oct 11, 2016

*The idea of World War lll has long existed since the attacks of 9/11.
It was believed that World War lll would enter into the world between many of the super powers against Iraq, Saudi Arabia
and other countries that were believed to be supporting the terrorist activity that took place in 2001.
Up to this point, there have not been any hints at a new war.

However it has long been discussed that one major incident could easily start up possibly the most cataclysmic war to ever hit planet Earth.
China has recently started to prepare as if this war may finally be erupting.

China has officially told their citizens to prepare for the start of World War 3. The call came from the Chinese minister of defense in Chang Wanquan.*

but the building is gone...

BTW, remember I posted this:

I'm not sure if that was on Art Bell show or somewhere else
/but I'm 90% positive was on AB show, I don't think it was on C2C with GeorgeN, but maybe?/
women from I think ?-Philippines-? or some other country in Central-South America said that because her husband was murdered
and Kennedy was somehow involved-responsible for it ..that she did "arranged" that Kennedy was killed.
It was very strange interview and her story sounded as most possible of all the theories.
Or maybe it was a guest that talked about that woman and her story, quite a 'gem' of a story

He husband was a high ranking politician or maybe even a head of that country, I don't remember.

I wonder if anyone remembers that story and has access to it so we can listen again.
It was very strange interview, if I remember correctly some form of witch crafting was involved as well

-perfect show to re'listen this time of year-

if you never listen to this story it was very interesting interview, I know you pooped on it when I posted before
but it was good conspiracy theory about who killed Kennedy,
would be nice if someone here had that in archives or at least remembered more details about it

"UK military threatened & amazed by Russia’s ‘revolutionary’ Armata tank" – leak
https://www.rt.com/uk/365555-armata-tank-uk-concerns/
Published time: 6 Nov, 2016 16:59

*"Russia’s Armata tank is hailed as revolutionary in a leaked internal paper from British military intelligence,
in which doubts are expressed about whether the UK has what it takes to counter the Kremlin’s newest armor.
The paper, which was put together after an Armata prototype was revealed to the world at the Victory Parade
in Moscow on May 9, 2015, was obtained by the Sunday Telegraph.

“Without hyperbole, Armata represents the most revolutionary step change in tank design in the last half century,”
a senior British Army intelligence officer wrote in the five-page intelligence report, according to the newspaper.
Armata is faster, lighter, and has a lower profile than modern Western tanks, while boasting a breakthrough turret
design that gives its crew much better protection while under fire, the document stressed.

“For the first time, a fully automated, digitized, unmanned turret has been incorporated into a main battle tank.
And for the first time, a tank crew is embedded within an armored capsule in the hull front,” it said."*
