Who will be the next President of the United States?

So (ha) now we see Politico roll back their story somewhat. Carson was told he would be supported and probably get an appointment.  How is an appointment to a military academy significantly different than a scholarship?  Both cover the cost of education.

I've given up on everyone.  Let's support Sanders.  Prove Cloward and Piven were right.

Eh, why not.  At least Bernie is easier on the eyes than Bill's sweetie.

It was all a distraction to keep the press from commenting on the grand poompah's decision to nix the Keystone pipeline.

I don't buy it. The issue isn't the nomenclature; its that he said he was offered a scholarship/appointment...repeatedly. First, the top-ranked-in-Detroit ROTC cadet (Lt Ben) would not be so ignorant about the Academy appointment process.  Second, he didn't write the infamous "...I was offered a scholarship to West Point..." as a HS student. He wrote it in 1996, after he'd authored dozens of papers and articles in profession medical publications and knew better than to be sloppy.  Then he put it in a second book in 2013 and repeated it in several recent interviews.  So it's clear that he was either knowingly blowing smoke or is the world's sole neurosurgical idiot savant.

It's certainly not being ignored in Canada.  Not sure about down south.
It was mentioned briefly on the mainstream news but a few unions made press releases and Republican candidates are mentioning it. Some environmentalist types are praising the choice though. But the article should headline "US Obama Rejects XL Pipeline" because Congress and the people want it. What does you new pretty-boy President say on the subject?

If you're going to invade over it, I imagine Sunday around noon should be the optimal time.  Most of the lemmings will be busy at football games (not having a clue where the gasoline that fuels their cars comes from... Some actually think it is just like eagle piss or something)

Since you are coming from the North, I highly recommend you dispense of Chicago and Detroit dueling daylight hours.  You don't want to get caught there at night.

Plan on having a lot of friendlies meet you at the Texas/Oklahoma border.

We can provide you with supplies once we link up, and our part of the pipeline is ready.

You may hear some whining, but don't worry.

Just remember, you can keep most of what you find along the way, but the Stanley Cup stays here.

Jeeeze, it gets funnier; He's now insisting he was really bad ass! Won't anyone think of his street cred?

If you ever saw Obama throw a baseball, you would understand why he is trying so hard.

I saw Osborne (chancellor of exchequer) at a building site on telly, lift a brick with both hands with the look of 'ahhh, so this is how the poor people make their hovels?'. Putrid filth.

Not that I have strong feelings about toffee nosed, entitled, worthless, chinless pricks.

What is amazing is that Trump, of all people, actually had rational responses to this "controversy." While the media and pundits were are playing up the lie(s) he commented something to the effect of "WTF, this is the first time in history that people are wanting someone to attacked his mother with a hammer to be President."

re: brick-laying. I find it hilarious when politicians try to be 'like the people,' fake accents and ancedotes depending on audience/region (Billary famous for this,) and so on. They look awkward, this is the day of video recording so people will see the pandering, and it makes them even look more fake and out of touch. I would love one, just one, to stand-up and say "I don't know what the price of a gallon of milk is- I have staff who shop for me. I'm a multimillionaire, it would be a waste of time for me to go grocery shopping. But having run xxx-business, a degree and law and accounting, and I can explain the failed tax-code or some other arcane, inefficient government process such as agriculture price-supports...and what changes can be made and how it effects your annual income and prices you pay- even for milk."

If Obama had just gone after Moms with a hammer, he could've been the darling of the right.

Obama personally might not, but his illegals do!

Maybe Carson should get Victor Aureliano Hernandez Ramirez to run with him on the ticket. Get some more street cred and then some support from Obama's base?

That orange pants suit amazes me.  Hillary is facing allegations of criminal wrongdoing (make of them what you will) and her handlers let her go out looking like she's in a maximum security prison wing?  Are they really that out of touch?

I heard that orange is the new black.  I see no way America gets out 2016 unfooked.

MV/Liberace!

Marco is now running ads featuring archival footage in which Jib articulates what a big fan he is of Marco.  I get why the ads are being run, but Jib's endorsement further disqualifies Marco, in my opinion.

Having looked at Rubio's boyish looks at 44, and also heard the demon stuff on MITD, I'm convinced he sold his soul to Satan but Adelson bought the note.

Having wasted 2 hours on the R's "debate" tonight, having all the spontaneity of a class play, and considering the alternative of Clinton Inc., it looks like my dual citizenship may finally prove to have more value that a conversation piece.

I'm going with Carson and Clinton...

Clinton will win the nomination as the media is clearly on her side and will pull it out for her in the end...but it will be stiff competition along the way...I agree with you, Sanders will be labeled a communist, but Uncle Joe will stick his foot too often in his mouth to win the nomination...

I read your other post on the other thread...you are right, she has big campaign issues...I could be wrong about her winning the nomination, but this weekend all of the talking heads were trying to convince everyone that her scandals are not hurting her numbers in South Carolina...of course, the conveniently did not cover her poor number in Iowa and NH...that is more evidence of the media being on her side...they want to sell the "first woman President" narrative for the next 9 years...

I think Carson will appeal to enough independents, women, minorities and millennials pull of the win for President...he went on the View a few months back and the liberal ladies on that show really liked him...which is odd for that group...

It's going to be one crazy ride leading up to Nov 2016! I'm looking forward to it!  :D

Probably Hillary tho I wish wud be Bernie or Trump. Again the GOP has managed  to look goofier  than the Dems look sinister even w/ a socialist on board! Sorry about abbreviations.

If Bernie were wise he would just show up in Iowa and not talk his more radical ideas. Certainly not bring this guy in to stump for him. Not sure what benefit would be gained.  Bernie might get votes just off his appearance (old, white, white-haired, from rural state) but once he starts in on his more radical views, or align himself with Cornel West? Just show up, praise farm subsidies and food stamp give-aways (both help farmers) and maybe some stuff about CO-OPs and traditional progressivism, your support for guns, etc and you will do ok, especially considering your looks. But bringing in wild-eyed black radicals or stirring up college kids? Why?

People forget that Romney was a duller version of Single Digit Jeb.  Can you see Mitt on the debate stage against Trump? Cruz? Romney isn't a masochist; he has his turn in the barrel.  The GOP thought it was clever to train their dogs to snarl at the neighbors, but terrified now that they've turned on the family.
