Can we talk about the guest?  OBEs are such an interesting topic.  My father claims to have had an OBE sometime in the 70s but I've never experience one myself.

I have. At least I think I have. Keep in mind that this happened just a few days after hearing about OBEs on Art's show back in the early 2000s, so maybe it was auto-suggestion. Definitely felt qualitatively different than a dream, even a lucid dream.

I remember being in that zone between wakefulness and sleep and suddenly felt like my entire body was buzzing with electricity. I remember slowly rising above my bed and seeing the room around me. I don't remember "going through" the ceiling like this guest describes going through walls. Next thing I know I feel like I'm zooming in the sky at a very, very fast speed.

My guess is that something is going on in the brain, and it's probably not the case that your "spirit body" or whatever is literally exiting your physical body. Definitely think people are experiencing *something*, and not just making this up whole-cloth.

That sounds truly awesome.  I've never had a lucid dream, either.  I rarely even remember my dreams.

For years I had what I would describe as OBEs, or maybe they were just recurring dreams.  I could fly about the room... More like hovering.  I was aware that I was asleep and dreaming but if I thought about that, I would feel myself lowering towards the ground.  I would have to concentrate hard to keep myself aloft. 

It has been several years since that has happened.  Maybe I am not sleeping as well as I once did.  I miss it.
