Haha how did you get trapped in the first place?

I was working in Florida and if you leave a door open the fuckers will just walk on in. Someone did that and I stepped out of my office and it was in the hallway hissing at me. I'm from Missouri, I don't know what the hell those things are capable of so not wanting to risk getting a kneecap bit off, I just climbed out a window.

It's actually not the only time I've encountered a dangerous reptile. I was in the Orange Walk district of Belize a few years ago talking with a Mennonite guy on the shore of the New River (strange, I know, but Belize is full of Mennonites). A HUGE crocodile appeared and passed like 2 feet away from this guy and into the river. He wasn't scared at all and I was basically screaming like a girl. He responded and said "Ah, that's Heinrich. He'll only eat you if you fall out of your boat."

We're approaching 2017
Hoagie's absent, you know what I mean
Time for some Cydonia exposure
Or at least a smidgen of disclosure
You may think this some kind of retort
But I've read the Brookings Report
I wanna know some answers soon
As I stare at the Santa Fe moon
They told me arcologies are up there
But the info's stalled, dissipating in air
Holding onto Club 19-five
But as of late it's barely alive
Seems like they're still on the fence,
But what of Morningstar, Lambert, and Spence
The show's like some kind of prism
Or the Anitikythera Mechanism
As the light of truth shone through it
RCH knew just how to intuit
The reality of the context of science
And NASA's questionable compliance
With analysis and detailed procedures
Of images the panel oft features
As Laney and Farrar have no doubt
Of many relics lurking about
So when will the show come back to us
This question is not superfluous
We need insights now more than ever
Bad getting worse, good getting better
Asimov, Heinlein, and Clarke
Are like lights that shine in the dark
The info ya know runs the gamut
While we listen to Forbidden Planet
I try to comprehend all the factoids
But they pass like mysterious asteroids
It might be just like Tabby's Star
A mystery to us from afar
So we await your glorious return
Like the fiddle-head curls from the fern
But if you're a grump we just won't have it
So you better just talk like Dick Cavett

Beautiful work, Zeebs, you are approaching a Hoagiead here, truly monumental.  This couplet is particularly inspired.

Likely the actual "FIRST" in the history of the internet. Imagine if the internet and BG could be used for good and such sublime poetry! Excellent job, Squirrel Zeebo! I will put some excess Christmas party nuts out for your brethern, even the large ones that used to have a politcally-incorrect name.

Hoagie's Michelle in Japan just called into Noory!
I guess since she hasn't had Hoagie available for months, Noory is her second choice?

Just so we are clear, she was ON the train, not IN the train.

Hey Dick - you lazy lout,
Get off your ass, and put a show out.

You've been fucking the dog, for way to long,
Lay off of that big, penis shaped bong.

Your subscriptions are gone, and so is your beer,
Your fans have exhausted, all their holiday cheer.

Spin up the Torsion Field, set the Accutron alight,
Get your ass back on the air, this very night.

Scientific data, has many a peer.
