An update. Nothing is happening! First no asteroid and now no Jade Helm, at least from what I can tell. In fact I've seen less helicopters and military convoys than normal. Well, we have some more time. I'm sure the mirrors (from my cheap glasses) might have stopped Jade Helm? Just as NASA's did the asteroid hit? ;) .....

By the time any of us even heard about Jade Helm, it was already over.

I live in central Texas and have a next door neighbor who owns an operational confederate cannon that sits in his front yard. My Jade Helm 15 concerns would escalate if that cannon was put in hiding and the 40+ operational wall hangers in his armory of a living room disappeared. But, the cannon is still pointed at the house of a 20 something kid who no longer plays his heart thumping stereo until he is way down the street. I promise that y'all will be the 1st to know if the cannon disappears. Open carry goes into effect very soon, so I do not feel a stand off is in the offing here. Peace to all y'all

"There were also a number of SUV’s modified for use on different types of terrains, including an amphibious vehicle, he said."

Oh, come on. Someone get Mick to debunk. They don't get much better than this.

QuoteA third lawyer, Robert Rentzer, told KTLA he had represented Lash for nearly 20 years, often in connection with his client’s firearms. Lash was simply a gun collector and very private man, Rentzer said.

so many great stories start and go on for twenty years with a guy named rent

Supposedly Jade Helm is over but time instead of small towns and rural areas the training is for operations in "urban environments." I love this quote:

""And plus if it's a military thing it's a good thing, that means they're making it safer for us so I wouldn't let it bother me," said Steve Devosion of Inglewood. "I'd be more interested in them not doing something about what's going on than them doing something about what's going on." "

Supposedly there are all kinds of coastal military maneuvers going on north of San Diego right now.

Mysterious military activity west of Los Angeles International Airport is forcing the airport--one of the nation’s busiest-- to temporarily divert overnight landings and departures.

KABC-TV reported Saturday that secret military operations being conducted over the Pacific Ocean may make for noisier nights for people living in the flight path.

“We clearly understand that neighbors and communities east of the airport will experience noise and we apologize for that,” LAX spokeswoman Nancy Castles said.

The military has been mum about what exactly it's doing and LAX says it’s in the dark, the station reported.

There was a UFO in the skies visible from San Diego, Los Angeles, and Arizona. I missed the thing, but apparently thousands of people saw it. The navy claims it was a test missile. People in these parts were scared shitless because the Navy fired a test missile over cities.

the navy did a live fire test with a Trident II (D5), launched from the USS Kentucky (SSBN-737), it scared the shit out of people but made for a good video tho.

Waaay cool looking. So even if unarmed where does the missile land? Any why do a test of such missile so close to the Continental US and major city? I know, I guess, I know it was coordinated with other naval operations and manuevers but still seems like this could be done out at sea or at one of our many bases/territories without such population or disrupting air-traffic around one of the major US airports?
ps: those pics, and area, remind me of "Night of the Comet" where a couple of Valley Girls save the world!!

I've heard a lot of silly arguments about this launch. I happened to be awake late last night and turned on DM Radio around 2AM to heard a pair of morons who were certain that no submarine could launch a missile that could go that high so it had to be launched from the underwater base near Catalina.  I was gobsmacked.

The ocean west of LA is the Navy's 36K sq mi. Sea Range (ex-Pacific Missile Test Range) , a highly instrumented open sea test area for the Navy since the early 50's.  They were a client for over 20 yrs.  A second D5 test was launched this afternoon.  The tests were to validate Kentucky is ready for service after being out of service for a 3 yr overhaul/refueling.  It is, though, unusual for sub-launched ICBM launch to be conducted on the Pt Mugu range; usually they'd do it off Kuaui.
