Loved him.

I didn't always care for his topics but he had some great shows, a few I'd put up there with my all-time faves.  But then again I love brussels sprouts, seriously, I eat 'em like bon-bons.

That is the best that anybody can hope for when it comes to woo woo stories.  ;) ;D
Yup, unless you've actually been there, it's just an entertaining story.
But that's why I'm here; the entertainment and the possibility of new Woo-Woo
(Hm, makes it sound dirty when I phrase it like that.  :o )           ;D

It's a pretty exclusive audience so far ... just the possum that waddles past my open window every nite.
I'd keep an eye on that 'possum, don't leave any acorns laying around. Just sayin'.      ;)

I am OK with Stonehill.....willing to give him some credibility.
I think we can't dismiss his research... and, commitment, that seems, to me, to be objective and not self serving.

Punnett had some terrible shows and he had some great ones.  I didn't so much enjoy the ones where he had his tongue firmly set in his cheek.  Those were like bad jokes that should have only lasted 5 minutes but were stretched out to 3 hours.  Also never thought he would get off the E Howard Hunt topic for a little bit there.  Every show for like a month was E Howard Hunt and the same 5 minute tape repeated ad nauseam.  Still I miss him.

Agreed!  I usually enjoyed Ian....the horse dude was the worst....but, many programs were excellent.

LOL.  Today's version is kind of scary looking.  He grew out of his looks.

Unfortunately very true but hey if you make 80 with a clear head and two good legs, you are doing pretty good so I'll cut the Shat some slack.

Those would have to be some incredibly deep and long tunnels. lol
The translation on this site is horrid, but the general article is interesting.

TigerLily checking out. Goodnight

I've been reading the past few days of Shatner's tweets for the last 15 minutes.  Damn, that sucker tweets a lot and he is so damn funny.

â€œVast tunnels which would leave even modern underground constructors green with envy began behind six ‘doors’. These tunnels lead straight towards the coast, at times with a slope of 14 per cent. The floor is covered with stone slabs that have been pitted and grooved to make them slip-proof. It is an adventure even today to penetrate these 55 to 65 mile-long transport tunnels in the direction of the coast and finally reach a spot 80 ft below sea level..."

Addendum: "... it is said that a tunnel measuring more than a mile in length, linking Sacsayhuaman to the Koricancha (Old City of Cuzco) exists, but has been sealed off by the Peruvian government because of people having been lost in the past. "

I heard he wore a hairpiece originally. And by the 2nd or third movie his hair changed rapidly and became darker and more curly, I suspect transplants somewhere between TJ Hooker and Wrath of Kahn. Then in Star Trek IV after the Bird of Prey crash lands in the bay of SF and starts filling with water, the crew and Catherine Hicks evacuate but Captain Kirk stays and he goes swimming, not just to be a hero/captain/admiral and save humanity by opening the whale chamber, but possibly to send a secret wink to Sy Sperling and show of his new investment. No facts to back any of this up, but I always heard that he wore a wig. That was clearly no wig near the end of Star Trek IV, it's like the scene was shot just to say "HEY LOOK, NO WIG!!!".

Speaking of, this Thursday.

9th Planet & Animal Extinctions
Thursday - January 26, 2017
Hosted by George Noory
Guest(s): Linda Moulton Howe
Earthfiles investigative reporter Linda Moulton Howe will discuss Prof. Michael Brown announcement of the "9th Planet" in our solar system, which is 10 to 20 times the size of Earth; a professor's finding of 234 stars that are all yellow sequence like our sun with peculiar star pulsations; and the danger of extinction this century for the cheetah and giraffe.

I liked Ian.  I also like eggplant, fried or parmigiana.  Not sure how Ian is with tomato sauce and cheese, though.

I enjoyed this guest and his accent and various conspiracies, mysterious islands, and state of Russian affairs etc. It reminded me of some old movies: like a King Kong with a side plot of Mr.Moto. Good show.
ps: aren't most of those "smooth" glass tunnels a result of volcanic activity or and the "smooth" other ones due to limestone and water erosion? A human tunnel, at least made in the older days, would be less smooth, I would think.  And no surprise that ancient and even modern man makes tunnels: mining, refuge, hiding valuables, getting out of the elements, escape plans, for warfare, etc- especially in some places where it is easy digging (though, like in some former Chinese flood-plains the digging is easy but watch out when the earth quakes. Much death.

pps: those tunnels and rooms in your link look more pristine that the masonry you will find under the streets and buildings in Austin! You can, or you used to, be able to go from about 2nd Street all the way to UT campus in the old tunnels. Many of which if you put your finger in the mortor it would turn to dust. Scary because it also would get narrow. Old brickwork, covering up some old creeks and diverting rainwater. Crazy that people back then could make stuff stuff. The more modern and famous Catacombs outside Rome are cool also, but softer stone (I think?) I am not a geologist. And people back then more time on their hands, longer work, and more reasons (religious and also persecution depending on what ones) to tunnel....make tombs, art, chapels, etc.
