The autotopsies show where he was shot so considering his height he was either "charging like a football player" or shot when falling after running towards the officer. Either way I find this witness very suspect:
"that she was planning to “pop in” on a former high school classmate she had not seen in 26 years. Saddled with an incorrect address and no cell phone, McElroy claimed that she pulled over to smoke a cigarette and seek directions from a black man standing under a tree."

What person, in their right mind, decides to "pop in" on someone they haven't seen in 26 years? And what person, especially a lone white woman in a black neighborhood, "seeks directions from a black man standing under a tree?"

She is as credible as the "hands up, don't shoot" witnesses.
ps: what is amazing is that a person, who wasn't even charged and did not do the shooting is subject to such an through background check by TSG, a site usually associated with drunken antics and Hollywood movie star's riders. We never learned in NEARLY amount of detail about the "gentle giant" or his family. Like, what about his step-father who exhorted people to "burn this bitch down?"      The cops should take the "shut it down" approach. They won't...the overtime is too good to pass up.

      The "Hands Up" "(Only) Black Lives Matter" crowd must take PR advice from the Palestinians. Not only has the middle not swayed towards them, but a double cop killing only serves to make the "militarization" of the police more inevitable because they can point to this ambush and plead for a goddamn Saracens to patrol Bed-Stuy. It would be interesting to see how De Blasio, and the other malcontents, would like having an "Escape from New York" weekend. I think the officers should do a "blue flu" and see how it turns out. Today two cops shot in their car by a guy who quickly later shot himself. Details are sketchy or not released yet but at least one of the officers is dead and the other critical.

The bad thing, besides the dead people, about the Sharpton/Obama/Holder rhetoric is that it increases the animosity towards the police AND reinforces the creeping attitude that many police have that it is "us against them" which can result in more unnecessary deaths (whether "gentle giants" and "youths" or police officers.) I actually agree with you. This latest male black, sorry "youth" or "gentle giant" (I forgot the nomenclature to use these days), who murdered the cops was likely a screwed up person. Which is why the divisive rhetoric from the Sharptons/Obama/Holder etc is so dangerous. Like with, though not as prominent anymore, the white racist types when they inspired the crazies and feathered their nests (and conscience) with the first amendment. All fine and good. I'm all for free speech, even if offensive. And one will note that the Aryan guy, forgot his name, got successfully sued and bankrupted civilly (they will never go after the black "nationalists" obviously.) But the President, or his minions, shouldn't be inflaming passions. The difference between Sharpton, or William Pierce (who was on Art's show), is that he wasn't elected and is not in charge; if even a figure-head. We've been through cop assassinations in the seventies in NYC, and now it's beginning to look like old times again. I'm glad DiBlasio is banned from their funerals, and I'm as liberal as they get.

    De Blasio's inflammatory comments about worrying/fearing that something could happen to his son via the police cannot be walked back and will haunt him. He looked like a subordinate to Bratton at the press conference.
