Number of days until .............

ks3484

As of 9/1/2014, Art's return will be in about 318 days ... then in about 317... then in about 316 ... then in about 315 ... then in about 314 .........  8)

We will have a few more years of Art and his chronicles of the strange, the weird, the supernatural, and the paranormal in the here and now, in this time and in this space. And then there are those on the other side who will have the benefits of Art's chronicles for all of the rest of eternity.

Of course he will still have to broadcast his new show from the other side to those of us who have not yet transformed here, in this space, and in this time.

Thanks for doing the maths. Now I just need to work out how many days 6 weeks is and add it to that to work out when .....

Too soon? :P

In my book, too soon.  With half the others here, apparently not
so much so.

At times this site seems to consider Art Bell the enemy (or at least
the target) more than Snoory or other subpar radio hosts (which
Art is the antithesis of).

Not that I am accusing you of that, Jaz, I am not, but I grew weary
of this sort of unrelenting tone quite awhile back.  Sure, it is free
speech.  It is also one of the several reasons I rarely come here
anymore.  And, based on the site traffic and their content, I suspect
many others agree with me and have done the same.

After his petulant bullshit last Fall and his blatant disregard for his dwindled audience, the man earned the opprobium. And frankly, it's tepid.

I'd add that I've never seen any other media personality repeatedly shit on loyal fans with such alacrity as Bell.  A real talk radio talent on the air...but no loyalty or people skills whatsoever.

I'm sure the lemmings will think he'll be in it for the long haul next September and really deliver like it was 1996. Which is alternately pathetic and hysterical.

Does anyone have any clip art of a junkie holding a needle close to their arm counting down the number of days until Art returns? Those are the real AB junkies who are desperate for an Art Bell fix - so they are counting down the number of days until they can get their next AB fix. The positive side is that some have had to wait so long that they are now considered to be recovering AB addicts. They no longer need a daily Art Bell fix to make it through their day, or to go on with their lives - in a productive manner. 8)

Can you think of any reason or reasons not every post regarding Art Bell is complimentary?

Surmo

Of course I can think of reasons why not every post is complimentary.
Did I say they should be?  I have some anger myself at many things
that happened.  And no doubt Art Bell is not a "people person"

That said, I do not understand the outright hatred and disgust that
spills forth at this site.  Sycophant I am not, nor an Art Bell junkie,
nor a lemming.  But apparently having real hope makes me one.

I choose to go through life with hope, even when I know things may
likely not turn out.  Life is often disappointment.  That does not mean
we should go through life thinking the worst.  When I do act that way,
I am nasty, angry, rude, uncivil and a general ass to be around.

So laugh at me if you want, I will remain hopeful.  Art Bell is one of
the greatest, if not the greatest, on-air radio host to ever grace the
airways.  And I would like him back on the air, as long or as short as
it may end up being.  I still think Art might pull off a miracle.  And if
he does not, I'm still a better person for having a little hope,  even if
the odds are, as most people here would say, "long."  It makes my
journey through life a much more enjoyable trip than the alternative
attitude would cause.

And, after all, its only about ten months to see how this little drama
plays out.

Okay, so from now on we'll allow only favorable posts about Art Bell. That'll really get the traffic pumping. Just ask the Fantastic Forum.

The reason traffic is down from last fall (which I assume is the period you're measuring against) is because Art quit. That's also why perhaps not every post is so glowing.

I was of course kidding.

Weren't you Art's BellGab in house legal counsel?

IF art comes back, this site will be rocking again. Maybe not like it was in Sept 2013, but still pretty lively.

If Art doesn't come back (or when he retires early again), then it will probably stay like it has over the last few months.
