I'd love to hear a good female host on c2c

I always thought that Barbara Simpson did an exceptional job whenever she hosted. Where did she go?

Quote
Btw I have street cred on this since I listen to Kim Komando all the time.  :)

I love her! I used to listen to her all the time!! I stopped for several years, and then last week, I suddenly thought of her again, and decided to tune into her live that very morning!

And it was uncanny: the first thing she started talking about was a bunch of semi-anti-Snowden propaganda. It was creepy and wierd. And then she moved immediately into shilling some thinger-jigger-or-other on her shopping cart website.

Which is, you know, totally cool and all. A girl's gotta eat.

It's always such a let down to get warmed-up with Art and then end up seeing what C2C has become.

My sentiments exactly.   :-\

I've noticed that men in this forum are particularly hard on women.

Do we have a gender bias around here?  I don't know.  Lots of us seem to like Rollye James (haven't heard her so I don't have an opinion).  I don't care for Lisa Garr for the same reasons you mention--she seems vacuous and a little too New Agey.

I'd say were pretty hard on everyone.  We've ripped some of the DMRN hosts and their shows to shreds repeatedly.  It sometimes makes me wonder why anyone would want to do a podcast or radio show.

Hell, some of us have even taken shots at Art...and we all LOVE that cat.  I agree with McPhallus, it would be a phallucy to believe in a gender bias.

I'm pro-McPhallus, but otherwise I'm phallus-neutral.

I agree that she does seem a little new age-ish and too cutesy, but these are things that can change, because, otherwise, she ain't half bad.  BTW, I don't like Rollye James (I don't like her politics and attitude).

Who the hell is this boring proto-new age, crystal/cat lady ?

Google says she is looped into Georgie's new age Gaiam TV nonsense.   That's all I need to know.

Edit:  wow she bailed  to commercials pretty quick.

I could swear the host listed earlier today for tonight was Rob Simone.  Not that it matters with yet another idiot guest claiming we're descended from multi-dimensional aliens.

You're correct, she said at the top she was filling in for Simone.  And you're probably correct to worry about the second guest - when the blurb mentions "celestial origins" I get worried.

I only listen on weekends now and I thought Simone was on tonight. Lisa sounds like a perpetual Valley Girl mixed with a pornstar.

Isn't that what happened to create the "porn industry"? Guest now seems to me, on a bad channel AM broadcast, to almost sound like Willie Nelson. So I'm listening in case it is, as a nomme-de-guerre.

This trollop simply can NOT allow a guest to finish a thought, or, at times, even a sentence. She's compelled to finish it for them! Very bad habit for ANY host. Intolerable!

I tuned in a few times last night.  Between Garr and the guest moron, who seemingly never heard a New Age notion he didn't embrace, it seemed to me to be one of the most mind-numbingly dull C2C shows ever.  Did anyone listen to the whole show?  If so, why?
