Those you've posted aren't midgets. They're dwarfs. It's dwarfism. It might keep it simple in the US to have one word to fit all as that way it won't over stretch certain minds...But quite why you find it of itself amusing anyway says more about you. Would you post paraplegic or limbless  videos for amusement too?

Yorkie is correct that the people generally called midgets in the US now are actually dwarfs.  Doctors learned years ago to recognize children who had growth problems - and would be midgets as adults.  They found a cure. I'm not aware of a cure for dwarfism, but it's been a long time since I've seen one.  They used to be fairly common.  It makes me wonder if they've found a cure.

"Little people,"  "dwarfs,"  "midgets,"  "leprechauns,"  "elves".. whatever you want to call them...   even most of them can laugh at themselves.    I'm sure I do some embarrassing stuff too, but they get laughs just for being little.   Good for them.  In a way, they have an advantage that we don't.   I don't disrespect these people, I just think they're little size is a laugh riot.   Don't forget, a lot of us laugh at fat people, skinny people, dorks and fuglies.  We even laugh at jokes people would consider racist.   It's not like I invented laughing at midgets.   If you want to sit there and be a grumpy old man pud, go for it.
