If you don't want a lot of blood use the palm method under the chin. Hit em hard. Snaps their head and body backwards. In one swift motion, use enough follow through to push their head and body backwards. They will land on their ass, dazed and confused how they ended up on their ass. It won't bruise your palm or her chin. Getting your jaw jacked like that will cause pain in the jaw joints, nothing life or death. Although it may break her meth addled teeth, neck, or crack the back of her skull if she is laid out flat. Such confrontation could end up harming one or both persons. Maybe even taking of a life. Bad things can happen in a brawl. I've used palm under chin to take down a guy who was a head taller and weighed more than me.

When there is no way around getting physical with someone, getting booked for assault and battery is better than getting booked into the hospital. I can understand your aversion to being charged, possibly getting a criminal record. You have plans for your future, and wisely don't want some bullshit record that will mess that up. You possibly have much to lose over some crazy meth head confrontation, she has little to lose. Her whole world is just living for her next aspiration of meth. Whereas your aspirations in life are much larger. Any contact she has with you could be a gain for her in some nefarious way. You have zero to gain coming into contact with her. No matter the outcome.

I've read your post here and listened to you on a few podcast. You are a bright person and I know you can outsmart some crazy homeless meth head. Don't let her scare, or bully you. You are better than that, and you know it.

P.S. Here, this is for you!

Cats, thank you.  Is that your phone number?

You are reading my mind, in the last few days, I have considered most of what you have outlined in this post.  At this point, I am still unsure of how to proceed because I do have plenty to lose should a confrontation go south.

Back in the day, I arrested a number of ppl for making threats.  Terrorist or Terroristic threats.  Here in the PRC, that is a felony.  The cop doesn't have to be present or have the threat made in his presence to effect an arrest.
A misdemeanor requires that it be done in the officers presence or field of vision for an arrest to be made.
It could be that she screams 'I don't care about your kitty and its litter.  I'm going to beat you to death.'  Or something along those lines.  Be sure to articulate your extreme fear of injury or death at the hands of this wack job.

PRC - People's Republic of California?  If so, that is where I am, and as far as I know, the cops have tried to find her, but continue to do mostly nothing.  And, of course, as per usual, if she has been arrested, no one has or will let me know.

She has made threats very similar.  "You will pay dearly!  I'm going to make you sorry!  I'm going to kick your ass!  I told you not to walk here!"  More too, but most of it is incoherent ranting.  I have been off the apartment complex grounds once since 8/28.  Still trying to come up with a strategy, but these tips are a great help to me.

Militarized police or not, they still aren't much good when it comes to serving and protecting.

Funny how the more you dig the more you find. What I do not understand is how people still think that it is ok? It blows my mind when i talk to people and they are tell me they are just doing their job. You should really look into Philadelphia and look up house seizures. You will be shocked. But hay keep supporting your local police department because they are their to help you!!1

They tried that in Alberta and backed off (a little.)  I believe that right now they have to prove that the house (or car) was directly tied to the proceeds of crime and you have to be convicted.  (Don't quote me- it was a few years ago that they introduced the legislation.)  At the time they first tried to bring it in it was written that even if a renter were selling drugs and living in the house you may end up homeless.

In B.C and other provinces they allow police to seize vehicles that are caught speeding and racing.  Recently BC sold a seized Lamborghini.  They want to bring this ability to Alberta.  Seizure would not be mandatory- it would be left up to the officers discretion (read they will not seize a rust heap, but a Porsche would be a nice bonus...)

Here are cops doing a short race to a Tim Hortens (ties in nicely with the Burger King ? Tim Hortens thread.)  No, I do not think it is the end of the world- just interesting to see them engaged in an act that they probably ticketed others for earlier that night.  Stunting here is a major offence and causes your insurance to damn near double.

That's my phone number posted in uh open forum. My life needs a blowed up fone bi folks like Fidget, Bart, JackStar, Casio. Jazmunda would always call at odd hours with his horse porn. I'm teasing you about the guy that came outta nowhere and handed you his number and fled the scene ASAP. Speaking of teasing, if ya wanna know whoz number... call it on September 15, @ 5:30PM Pacific.  ;)

Police have almost always been of little help in my experience, though sometimes they will surprise you. The squeaky wheel gets the oil, unless you piss them off. The militarization of police is making them more dangerous than criminals.

Of course he was committing a crime and having been in two accidents with uninsured drivers, one of whom was also one of our friendly illegals, I can attest and say that I don't like them. But is a simple seat-belt violation worth this? By the way, I remember when they were pushing the seat-belt law and claimed that it would not be a violation for which you could be pulled over. They quickly changed that once the law was passed.

Yep. The same phenomena occurred with drinking. When they pressured the state to make having an "open container" illegal it was said that it would be only assessed if pulled over for another crime: speeding, weaving, etc. And it was only for the driver. As soon as it passed it was expanded first to be a crime that you could be pulled over for, then no container in the vehicle at all. So even an adult passenger in the rear etc. Of course, exemption for private services like chartered buses, limos, etc so rich folks can still enjoy a frosty beverage on the way to the game. And single, ice-cold beers are still sold at gas stations. So the business interests are still fine. Slippery slopes are real. Give them an inch and they take a mile every-time. (I'm not defending drunk driving, though some studies say things like texting whilst driving are more dangerous, but simply having an open-container does not mean one is drunk.) But great revenue generation for the police and for insurance companies.

I'm sure the kid in the back will grow up with nothing but respect and admiration for officers everywhere.

I remember when tasers were first introduced they told us how it was just less lethal than guns and officers would not be relying on them.  They would only be used as a last resort.  I laughed at the time because you just knew that any time using them would make the situation "safer" that the justification would be there.

Don't get me wrong- there is a time and place and I do believe that there are times when they can help with a situation that would place the officer at risk.  Was this one of those times?  Still, I'm positive that there will not be so much as an investigation.  The cop felt threatened while standing beside his buddies by the man on the other side of the door with his hands in plain sight.  It is self explanatory that the danger and threat posed were real.

Zoo

Funny thing is a cab driver has a more dangerous job than a police officer. This is based on facts though so lets not put to much into it!!1

I think consultants have conditioned police agencies to profile and select the most aggressive and intimidation-prone personalities from recruits. The guy in the van wasn't tasered for anything other than questioning the tactics of an authoritarian cop.

Zoo

Ya it is a shame... Ferguson, MO is doing a weekend of resistance hopefully something comes out of it beside people getting arrested. Nothing would make me happier if the police officer would come up on charges.

Hands Up..Don't Shoot!!1

"Hands up, don't shoot".  What a bunch of bull.  That is made up horseshit, done to keep the pot stirred, to keep black America seething.

Apparently we can't have racial unity until the Democrat Party is disbanded.  They won't allow it.  They stay in business due to their continuation of perceived racism.

How is it again that officer was pummeled so badly he had to go to the hospital?  How did that happen when the criminal's hands were in the air?

Don't be another sucker, floating along with the Occupy/'Progressive'/Obama/moron crowd

Zoo

LMFAO

I support unarmed men getting shot by police because they are to scared to do their job. They choose this line of work and if they are so scared all the time I think they need to find a safer job. But make sure it is not driving a cab because that is more dangerous than being a police officer..

Oh and fuck Obama for lying. Fuck the 1% and both the Democrat and Republican parties. Do not fall for Government bullshit not matter the party. I really thought you knew that both parties are full of shit and care nothing about you, Do not fall for the elitist bullshit my brother. It is ok to tell both parties to fuck off.

Oh and fuck every crooked Cop and every good Cop that does not cross the Blue Line!!1

When i was working in  mine I recall laughing at a radio show where they were interviewing a union rep for officers about the dangers they faced.  (Oh, did I mention that my part time job was a bouncer in that same mining town?)

The fact is that being a cop is more dangerous overall than a lumberjack.  A tree may fall on you, but it will not attack you nor try to punch you.

With that said, I often wonder how 5 completely untrained bouncers can handle a crowd of hundreds of drunken patrons without tasers, sidearms, batons and pepper spray.  I recall one guy who would not quit fighting.  4 doormen had him pinned on the ground in front of the bar and the cops were called to take him to holding (this rarely happened, but if you continue to fight and you cannot control yourself after 4 or 5 minutes there are few options.)  Anyhow, this little, 5 foot nothing female cop walks in (with another fairly small looking cop), looks at the situation, pulls out her pepper spray and nails not only the guy on the floor, but the doormen holding him down get a good dose as well.  There was no reason- he was not an immediate threat.

She could have cuffed him on the ground- she had the help and cooperation of the doormen and her partner but knew that she could not handle it easily.  Out comes the pepper spray (this was in the days when tasers were just gaining popularity and she did not have one.)  I remember thinking that is why you do not hire a small woman as a cop.  If you cannot handle a situation and go for the easy solution (pepper pray back then- tasers now) you have no business getting into that line of work.

On a side note, I know what it is like to have a patron attack you out of the blue.  I have been in the middle of a number of conversations (telling somebody that they have to leave when they do not want to) where they decide to try to punch me rather than walk out the front door.  We had three people return after being kicked out one night with a sledge hammer, a pick axe and a shovel... It is not like I am unaware of what happens.  However, each of these situations was handled without tasing anybody- and even my most violent, untrained fellow doormen never sent anybody to hospital. So, I wonder when I see a suspect on the ground being beat by a baton wielding officer why it is necessary.

I'm done now... I could continue for longer, but there really is no point.

Zoo

I bounced too and understand what you are saying. That is also bs that she sprayed your people too.

INo matter what people always will believe a cop over you!!1

"How is it again" that no evidence of anything more serious than swelling on one side of the cop's has been released? Not even the Fergusen Chief of Police claimed anything more than the swelling on Wilson's face.   As usual, you're repeating fabricated bullshit by Fox News and others. Why?

Because time after time, again and again, down the road days weeks or months after the event, the so-called right wing media nearly always turns out to have been much closer to the truth, and the Left and Big Media turn out to have been lying.

After awhile the dishonesty becomes a trend, then a reality.  So why wouldn't I trust the people who generally get things right, and be highly skeptical of those who typically lie, distort, cover up?

Police fire 600 bullets and kill hostage.

Who cares see was just a woman and a mother of two. I mean what a small price to pay to get a couple bad guys.

I saw and read on that and what a bunch of shit. I thought things were bad but when cops shot hostages and nothing is done beside a couple days paid vacation then we are so screwed as Americans. Oh and just so I am clear we are to blame for this because we let fear take control of us. We have let the Government and Police get away with whatever they want and we do nothing about it!!1

And Cops wonder why people no longer have respect for them. Maybe stop being a bunch of bullies and killing unarmed Americans and things might change. Until then FUCK THE POLICE!!1

Here's your Free Speech American Left.  Regardless of the facts, they've come to Ferguson to stir things up, to divide us further.  Where's Al Sharpton?  Where's Jesse Jackson?  Where's Eric Holder, now that they've lit the match and the Occupy thugs have shown up?

It turns out that Michael Brown punk attacked the officer while he was sitting in his squad car.  It turns out Michael Brown grabbed his gun.  He should have been shot.  Just another criminal who won't be out terrorizing anyone anymore, and that's a good thing.

If there is a problem with a cop, and it gets to a certain point, I don't suggest putting ones self in a position where the response is going to be getting shot.

Back to the mob - the D's are running all sorts of campaign ads in black communities across the country, but especially in the South, in States with close races - talking about racism, about lynchings, talking about all sorts of below the belt bullshit.  As usual from this despicable Party.  I believe they are continuing to put out lies and fanning the flames in Ferguson as a get-out-the-vote tactic everywhere they can.  I believe they are hoping to set off an explosion of anger and emotion in Ferguson before the elections.

Anyway, watch this clip - you won't be seeing it on the Left-wing news.  A bunch of people who aren't even local there to cause trouble.  Sure this is a small group, but these people are the same everywhere.

October 20, 2014 - Ferguson protesters shut down CNN live broadcast & chase away reporter and camera

Note the accusations from them of it all being controlled by the Zionists, the Israelis, AIPAC.  The Jews.  No, the Left aren't Jew haters.  Not at all.
