Why are you even trying?  Even more importantly, why should anyone here believe a crackpot like you is doing it right anyway?

Washington Healthplanfinder is back online.

This week, Washington Healthplanfinder customers experienced intermittent slowness and even brief outages  as they attempted to complete applications online. To address these issues as quickly as possible, we brought the site down so that we could better troubleshoot and conduct necessary maintenance.

Over the past several days, Exchange IT staff implemented a number of fixes to improve Washington Healthplanfinder's performance. This included updates to our database, web servers, and a thorough investigation into several modifications made during recent planned weekend maintenance.

We anticipate that Washington Healthplanfinder users will see improved performance. Thank you to everyone for their patience (italics mine) as our staff actively worked on these issues. We remain committed to providing our customers with a smooth online experience and apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused.

Doofus. Closet Socialist.

I think the above was the relevant part of that article.  The rest was blather.

Don't pay attention to any facts.  Never mind all the people who are losing the healthcare plans they were perfectly happy with.  Never mind the new ObamaCare plans cost considerably more and no one wants them.  Don't ever look behind you to see how much damage these 'Progressive' policies create - just plow ahead.

We anticipate it will all get better soon.  Utopia is just ahead, right around the next corner, over the next hill.

Hmmm, but according to (amongst others) Onan, what you had in place until now wasn't working. Well, it worked if you could afford it. So you need to have a more equitable health service that doesn't depend on someones wealth, nor should  it be driven by the avarice of insurance companies. As I said previously an acquaintance of mine who worked in our health service for many years until his retirement was in the party that received a delegation from the Reagan administration, a health advisor-so this is back in the 80's. He told the gathering

"Whatever you decide to do, don't copy the USA!"
At the time, he said, there were something like 30 million US citizens with no adequate health cover.

As I'm sure you well know, it's always possible to get worse.  ObamaCare is much worse.  For all the reasons you've read here.  Notice no one has disputed them. We have many less people covered now, and it's going to get much worse.  Millions of perfectly good policies have been declared illegal and thus canceled.  Many more will be.  And for those that are still covered, it's either much more expensive or it's going to be shortly.  People that do manage to get through on these websites end up not buying the insurance.  It costs too much.  The deductibles are too high.  Not exactly a ringing endorsement for ObamaCare.  Obama and the Democrats were fully aware of all these problems and the others discussed elsewhere 2 and 3 years ago, but just kept right on lying about it.  And still are.  Anyone aware of these facts should be mad as hell at the Democrats, not still arguing for it.

If they had been truly interested in covering the 15% without health insurance and repairing the problems with the rest of the health insurance industry, they should have and could have done that.  That was never their intent.

The intent was a massive transfer of wealth, to ruin the health care insurance system ultimately replace it with a single payer (government) system, and by currying political favor with the 10s of millions of current illegal aliens they want to legalize.  It's all about party building and Obama and Pelosi's Marxist political leanings.

If this had been something they were proud of and that the American people wanted, they wouldn't have deferred the bulk of it until after the 2010 and 2012 election cycles.  Obama wouldn't need to be handing out exemptions and deferrals to his Big Union and Big Government cronies.  Nancy Pelosi, when cornered, wouldn't have said we're going to pass it before you find out what's in it.

By the way - we are talking about problems with the health INSURANCE industry, not actual medical care.  I would suggest our medical care is the best in the world or close to it.  And everyone had access to it - at least as far as life and death - just not insurance coverage.  There were plenty of government health and medical programs, pro bono work, service done on behalf of people who they knew couldn't pay, etc.  No one was dying in the streets because they couldn't get medical attention.  Coverage for all was sort of inefficiently cobbled together and that's what should have been addressed.

The other thing is, your friend's off-the-cuff comment is what is known as an anecdote.  'Don't copy the USA'.  Not exactly an in depth analysis.

onan

The argument that people love their insurance plans is at the least, suspect. First it is human behavior to resist change. But tell the guy that had a good blue cross blue shield plan that accidentally cut off three of his fingers he is happy with his plan. To explain, the first finger reattachment was covered fully by his insurance. However, the second and third fingers to be reattached cost 28,000 dollars and 65,000 dollars respectively.

I don't know whether there is some deception going on or pundits have no ability to remember anything other than what they want to remember. I talk to people about insurance everyday. And it isn't in the abstract. I talk to them about how their illnesses will he covered. I talk to them about limits; both medication and hospitalizations. for anyone to suggest that people are happy with their insurance is simply lying.
