Patrick Combs, the $95 000 cheque guy

I keep hearing replays on my stream of the show Art did with Patrick Combs, the guy who deposited a pretend/advertising cheque for $95 000, which the bank stumped up for.

Decided to give a Google and see what he's doing - seems that he's made the most of it by creating a one-man show about it AND peddling a book about it too.

He did end up giving the money back after receiving written acknowledgment that he had done nothing wrong and it was the bank's fault. Somewhat shockingly, he also wrote the bank a $60 check for interest earned on the $95,000 and paid a $175 fee to close his account.

Wow, he really has turned his little joke into a full fledged business.  Good for him.   Check out his list of shows from prior years... and he's still doing them!  In fact, there's a show tomorrow in Ireland.

Thanks for the update on that guy! I'll bet his show is funny, amazing that he is still running off that episode this many years later. (Reminds me of a certain Fidgeter.)
