Yeah Zeeb!?!  What exactly have you imbibed?   :o

Why thanks for asking, my good Chirp!  I've been enjoying a glass or three of a pretty decent west coastian cabernet, which has nicely complimented an excellent microwaved lasagna I'll have you know.

Damn I thought the AC/DC show was goinga be about electricity
I'm sure that's what Dave thought, too.

The cab isn't from your owl buddies, I hope.  They may be up to something.

Yay!  So nice to hear you've mastered the micro as well as the spiral cork removal thingy!   ;) ;D

Hmm it is a little bit unsettling, they just keep staring at me, like they're waiting for me to pass out.  Luckily I'm listening to another stimulating Dave show to keep me awake.

Guys btw, some of you may be wondering, Hey what's up with zeebo, he said he was done with this thread for awhile?  Well, you are right to be dubious.  But you see, technically, this is drunk zeebo, which is an altogether different zeebo, and that my friends, is how I square that circle.
Just so long as you have had enough to numb the stupidity, you should be fine.  If not, have another.  Better to allow the alcohol to kill a few brain cells than endure the lasting damage of Dave.

Somebody named Stanleypaw just created a porn thread under the General Discussion forum.
The guy registers in March and waits until now to post this?  I never knew that there were "porn sleeper cells" on the net.

LOL. Thanks, zeebo.

This RFID crap has been done to death on this show.  Maybe it will morph into the Mark of the Beast but I'm just a wee bit skeptical.

I spent the past hour trying to get in to ask Catherine how her theories on the MOTB being tech-related to all the Earth-change events in Revelation that would all but knock the planet back into the pre-technological age. Probably back into the pre-Industrial age at best.

Never was able to get through. We complain about the topics like this all the time, but these are the ones that sadly seem to be the ones that move the meter.

Google Jorch to English Translator:

Ay-she Dee-she = AC/DC

I was hoping it was going to be about the Sweet song (and the subject thereof), honestly.

Typical Noory, just like the botched Doors interview, he goes for the sensational death of the lead singer within the first few minutes, before the guest has even started telling the band's story.

trostol

why do people like music they like...really Dave..what a stupid question..

LOL. That's what I thought too. Why the wait?  He never even posted on another thread.  He just decides to post links to porno?  I wonder if it is pate in disguise, drinking too much once more.

Just kidding, pate!

Dave modeled his career on Gilda Radner's Barbara Wawa character.

Noory admits what we already know which is he's a fan of Neil Sedaka, Bobby Darin, etc. ... You can tell he looks down on rock, and says to the guest "So you really like that music huh?" ... But then he makes sure to mention, in a rather patronizing way "Our friends, 'the people at ZZ Top' are just great people, and decent human beings".

Juan Cena

Rock N Roll ain't noise pollution.

...But Dave is.

Geez, Noory sounds like he has hardly ever listened to real rock 'n' roll.  He's so freakin' clueless when it comes to classic rock.  The closest he gets is Elvis but you're never gonna hear Noory sing Baby, Let's Play House.

trostol

Schrader would have been vastly better for this guest/subject

A show on Bobby Darin could be interesting...if Art or Knapp was the interviewer.

I love Bobby Darin.  He was such a versatile performer.  He could sing in any style. I have some early recordings that he recorded under another name and they rocked.  That said, I know what you mean.  Neil Sedaka, Paul Anka and Steve Lawrence are what Noory listened to.  The only song of Paul Anka's that I really like is the one Buddy Holly recorded before he died, It Doesn't Really Matter Anymore.

Jorch can go jump in a lake.  Rock 'n' Roll is King!

Jorch needs to play this tune for the next hour opening bumper.  I love songs with double entendres.

Yeah I'm not saying the acts of that era weren't talented, although they're not really my cuppa joe.  It's just that Noory seems "stuck" there, and in kind of a weird way, like it's less about the music and more about some kind of nostalgia for a more wholesome time (real or imagined).

Noory has had more than One Night of Sin.  Every night he is on the radio is a sin. That song is one of my personal favorites from Elvis.  Reworked into One Night (With You).  I love how in the initial version the singer regrets screwing around but in the popular version what he wants to do is screw around.  Censorship is so stupid.
