Corruption in Puerto Rico

I'm stunned.  Simply stunned.

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/latino/fbi-arrests-puerto-rico-senator-abel-nazario-bribery-charges-n1077306

I note after a quick reading of the article that there is no mention of Navario's party affiliation. He is a member of the New Progressive Party which advocates statehood and enjoys political hegemony in PR, controlling the Governorship, the Supreme Court and the Legislature by a wide margin.  The party's title sounds to me like just another term for socialist wanking society but supposedly party members vote  Republican or Democrat evenly in national elections.  Likely the word "Progressive" in the Party's title was enough for negative connotation-averse leftist MSM editors to avoid mentioning his party in association with his criminal activities--like that's going to keep readers from making the connection.

Many thought the same after 4 Puerto Rican separatists shot up the House Chamber in 1954.  The problem is that the island is strategically vital to the U.S. and we don't need another Cuba on our doorstep.

If a push came to a shove, the U.S. could tariff China back to the Stone Age.  There are any number of countries out there that would be glad to pick up the load in manufacturing cheap consumer goods for export.  It has started already.  I recently picked up a couple of pairs of Weekender shorts that were made in Jordan.  There are also countries like India, Taiwan and the Philippines that would gladly take on the manufacture of electronic components and certain high tech finished products that in today's world cannot be economically produced in the U.S. because of the delta in pay scale.

Please explain why things cannot be economically produced in the US? I really donít think we can afford not to. Either that or continue to bow down to our international corporate masters, just like the Rockefellers and the royal family want us to.

What is with the Democrats? Taking photo ops with an alleged child molesting Muslim and now a Democrat District Attorney many States away is going to allow pissing in the streets, and other crimes?

RGB out "due to illness" some reports say a "stomach bug." Though they are going to let the octogenarian lush work from home, apparently.  I hope she recovers soon. Those cocktail flus are really bad this year.
