How people get that confused with Bush II and the current Republicans in DC, I'll never know.  I'd like to chalk it up to ignorance rather than dishonesty.
What a silly, self-serving dodge. Bush was nominated and supported by the nominal conservative party of the United States. Twice. It wouldn't matter if he was a Martian...what matters is that the conservatives wholeheartedly promoted and supported him.  Your argument is no argument; it's an attempt to get personal mulligan. Stop demonizing everyone who calls the 00s for what they where; an orgy of conservative policies, on the steroids provided by the hysteria of 9/11, that came within a hair of utterly wrecking the nation.  Your answer...take more ideological turmeric.

I'd argue that Bush II succeeded in destroying America.  We're still fighting his bullshit war in Iraq.  His entire cabinet should be thrown in a deep dark dungeon.

Not Bush; Wall St and the big corporates played conservative hubris like a piano.  Bush was just a willing puppet who put a face on it.

In CA when you vote you get jury duty within 90 days. I'm 3 for 3 in the last 3 elections.
Just tell them that you are a racist.  Or ask if you can 'claim the 5th dimension' if you don't agree with something that is said in court.

The first will get you a DQ as a wackjob.  The second will get you a DQ as a wackjob.  Or just ask them before they ask a question, "Will Jury Nullification be an issue with the court?"  The last WILL get you a DQ as a Domestic Terrorist.  That is, if you are into labels.

I was wondering if anyone would post this.  I think it deserves it's own thread.

I think we all knew non-citizens were voting - illegals and otherwise - but it's difficult to quantify.  This of course explains much of why we are being flooded with foreigners from poor countries - the wide open southern border, inviting all those kids then shipping them around the country so they can't be tracked and returned, letting violent criminal illegals out of jail - even murderers and rapists - instead of deporting them, not even turning around obvious cartel and gang members at the border, stepping up the issuing of visas in the Ebola countries instead of quarantining them away from the US, 100, 000 new visas for Haitians.

"Oh, they're good for our economy".  Strange they weren't good for the economies of Mexico and Central America.  Once again, for the Democrats it's Party first and Country last.

This is the real reason for opposing voter IDs.  It's the reason we now have 'early' voting, motor-voter laws, same day voter registration.  It's about stealing elections for Democrats.

Without Al Franken, the US Senate would not have had the 60 votes it needed to pass ObamaCare.  He stole that election, what was it 13, 15 recounts, and when they finally found the combination of what to count and what not to count so that he was ahead, they stopped and declared him the winner (something Al Gore couldn't quite pull off in Florida).  Without the illegal vote, he would not have ever had a lead no matter how they counted those ballots.

So much for democracy.  So much for self rule  So much for the consent of the governed.  The Left doesn't believe in any of that any more than they believe in the right to free speech (unless it's their speech), the right to self protection, religious freedom, or any of the rest of it.  But they are happy to use our system against us, while they are destroying it.

That is their plan. Us the law, the courts, the illegals, the malcontents and criminals, or any and everything against the country in furtherance of their goal to balkanize and destroy the country. And, then, apparently, merge it into some more global, high-tax, and high control, less free system of some type of socialist, green, inclusive utopia (they, however, will still be allowed their large carbon-footprint and millionaire lifestyle.)

"[a] strict observance of the written law is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to the written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the ends to the means."-Jefferson

(to paraphrase him like Justice Jackson said: the Constitution is not a suicide pact.)

I think you may have meant that you speculate rather than they "admit".  Only Obama (or even his back room strategists) would be able to offer an admission.

Also, the paper is using crap statistics (don't worry- they all do.)  When it tells you that if just 5.1% of illegals in NC turned out to vote it would account for the democratic victory it assumes that 100% of them vote democrat (the article allows that only 80% voted democrat.)  Also, without doing hours of research and math I will just question the statistic they stated of 5.1% of illegal citizens.  I am going to assume that includes infants and children (it simply states "citizens".)  Taking away these and allowing that a few might vote republican I think we now have to raise it to closer to 10% of the illegals of voting age.

Finally, nowhere did the article state that this is the reason Obama is soft on illegals- that is your conclusion and to pass it off that the Post "admits" this is the reason is a little disingenuous.  You may be correct that it is the reason- I really do not know.  However, it is the conclusion that you drew and not what the article said.

All in all, it is an interesting enough article that the additional commentary may not have been necessary...

Anyhow, here is the first line Bircher attacker somewhat defending the Bircher line?  Is Buckley and has Buckley ever been a member of the communist party?

Spandau Ballet- True

That last link is out of line...

I think Redhunter was published in the late '80s I could be (as I frequently am) wrong, still trying to lock down when the Venona Papers were released as something other than FOIA documents ...  Huh, mid '60s eh?

Who can know?  Historians.  That'd be my bet, the Historians know!

Obama went to Wisconsin today to campaign for the Democrat running against Gov Scott Walker.

The support for the Democrat running for Gov in MerryTaxLand dropped 9% after Obama campaigned there this weekend in what should be an easy victory for the D's.

Let's see how much fall-off there is in Wisconsin.  The only thing I can think of for why Obola was allowed into the state by the D's was to get their vote out, knowing he would cost them most of the undecideds.

Wisconsin is tough. A far, far left element in collegetown n capital (ive had people there explain vigorously how bombing at killing there at UW was justified) but also good rural, normal, middleclass, and working areas who farm, dairy, hunt, sail, work, etc. Also a mixed, and much good history with some decent Republicans, progressive and rightwing people. (I dont mind La Follete or McCarthy. They had points that have born out.) An, odd divided state. Now but has history.

Here's a portion of the 'War On Women', Democrat style.

Obama on Stay-at-Home Moms: 'That's Not a Choice We Want Americans to Make'

How did Obama get to be an expert on women's choices involving child care and raising children?

Oh, he didn't.  Anymore than his fat-assed wife is an expert on school lunches ("I can eat anything I want, but your kids get bread, water, and a piece of celery")

What's the over/under on the number of elections the D's are going to steal?

We should probably define our terms - only national races (House and Senate)?  State (gov and legislature) and national?  Local races too?

They've already been caught either stuffing the early election ballot boxes, setting electronic voting machines to check 'D' regardless of who the voter voted for, handing out stacks of ballots to individuals, telling illegal aliens where to vote, etc - in Illinois, Maryland, New Mexico, North Carolina...

Oh right, how are we ever going to know for sure.

Then there's the aftermath - recounting very close elections until they come up with the right combination of what to include and what to leave out that puts the Democrat ahead.  And they then stop counting.  The Al Gore Deceit*.  (See Al Frankenstein's 2008 MN Senate race ).  Or just keep finding 'more' ballots until they have what they need, even if the extra ballots mean there were more ballots cast in certain counties than there are registered voters (See former Washington State governor Christine Gregoire in her 2004 'election').

Oh yes, this is the Party that stands up for our Civil Liberties.

Usually I listen to NPR but especially in off year elections. So NPR for sure this year. At least until they cut it out for Marketplace. So funny to hear their displeasure with returns and about HOW everything breaks down to race (or in the Hispanic element) ethnicity and how heart-broken they are upon every poll or when "having to call" an election. They are already on damage control (Grimes lost because she wouldn't admit voting for Obama for example. And how Haley is of,,, er Indian ancestry and an African American Republican allows a "pathway to the vote" in South Carolina.) Previously, if watching I watch FOX, just to watch the better looking women and "experts" like Rove etc try to back out of predictions of victory when they are wrong.

Isn't it depressing?  Why can't they take a few generations off and just farm or raise cows whatever they do on their down-time.  No more Bushes for at least the rest of the 21st century.
