Let's put an end to this thread right now with the most beautiful sounds ever created.

No one could say fuck you to the man like Reed.

(These posts were about Lou Reed's Metal Machine Music 1975)

I found this oddity. Corner also has some really out there violin music, but none of it was on youtube.
Corner was also from New York.
Philip Corner - Metal Meditations With Listening Center (1974)

Robert Plant 'Little Maggie' | Official Track

It kind of goes out of its way to be unique. It works though, IMO.

I enjoy the old music - hope you don't mind my sharing:

The Shadows - Apache (1960)

Kelt

Old School Goth 'Don't call us Goth' Musical Gorgeousness.

To set the mood for Halloween- what are your favorite spooky songs?

That piece at 1:40 into Montagues and Capulets I have heard a lot but never knew where it was from. Always good to learn something new.

There was some band A:O posted with like people talking over some kind of traditional English music. I found that fairly creepy.
I have also found Pink Floyd's the Wall to be very creepy and hard to listen to.

Here is my contribution, a weird mix of Russian choral music and errr pipping. I have no idea what you call that musically when someone just does a brief note of music.

Kate Miller-Heidke - Sarah

Avi- that one gave me goosebumps! Thanks for sharing- I'm hopelessly out of touch with newer music.  :-[

I never knew the source either until I bought a DVD collection that happily had this little ditty.  :)

Here's an oldie that some radio stations wouldn't play at the time. One of our underpaid, hippy lay teachers at the Sisters of Perpetual Punishment played it for us.  ;)

Bloodrock - DOA 1970 Remastered

Gd5150

I'm going to think outside the box on this one...Thriller. I wish to stress that this film in no way endorses a belief in the occult.

Yes the Ultimate Camel Toe Sessions.  I have to think that you have to spend about 20 to 30 hours a week in the gym to wear leather pants at her age and not look like some kind of apoplectic walrus

Well she's what 39 now.  Which means she was all of 35 then.

Lots of people take care of themselves, even 30-something women.  Heh, no wonder you guys don't have gf's

Big Yellow Taxi

Huh, 'nother thang:

Sara Evans - Suds In The Bucket (Official Video)

none of either have to do with eye of tigers or bittersweet symphonies...

The bong hit sound replacing the cash register sound in Money at 18:50 was clever.

Yeah, eyenoeyeno, I'm a dirty pot smoking living in the past hippie. Well, all except that I shower daily. But I live love this shit!

Sometimes, when I notice I've been listening to too much Iron Maiden, Danzig, Judas Priest, AC/DC, Johnny Cash, and various old blues, I will refresh the scene with some classic Steve Miller Band and just  ... coast.

This particular track always brings to mind The Tall Man, an empty but spinning carousel at a small town fair, dead leaves, an unfilled grave, and many other images.

Change is coming, but first comes shadow.

Someone call Joseph Campbell.
