Scorpions have cancelled the rest of their N.American tour. Klaus Meine diagnosed with severe laryngitis and risks losing his voice if they continue. Sucks but good they gave refunds and didn't try to lip-sync or give crappy concert.

You know who almost ruined the Scorpions for me?  George Ralph Noory and his incessant use of Winds of Change as one of his bumpers.  I can't listen to that song anymore.  It is wise Klaus and the band cancelled the tour.  That sort of thing could develop into throat cancer if he's not careful.  Hope he gets well fast.

I miss the days of good instrumentals.  A few months ago I heard a trivia program where the question was asked to name the recording artist/band with the most top 20 charting instrumental hits in the past thirty years.  I was shocked at the answer.

Last 30 years.  I confess my knowledge of popular music after 1995 is rather limited.  Maybe a group like The Art of Noise.  If you asked me what group had the most instrumental hits in the rock and roll era, I would say the Ventures.

Kenny G?

Yes, Kenny G.  When the host read the titles of the songs, I think there were four or five, I could not place any of them.  Might have recognized them if I heard them, I figure they were used as background music in mayonnaise or feminine hygiene ads.

I like this kid. It's done out of his bedroom so it's not great quality, but it shows great promise. He did everything himself.
