Found out about this today.  Song written by Ronald DeFeo Sr. to win back his wife after he screwed around.  If you know the name, that is because he was the father that was murdered by his son, Ronald Jr. along with the rest of the family in the Amityville house.  If you ask me, unlike the rest of the family,  the father deserved it because he was physically and psychologically abusive.  He was a real bastard.

Thanks for the trivia about DeFeo. I've had an interest in that case since the original film came out.
