Pretty good poetic translation of a classic Swedish end-of-summer song (sung here in Danish).

The minor-key section is worth rendering literally, though:

My elf, you are dancing so quiet and sad,
And think that all men must be trolls;
It trembles, that childish hand which I kissed,
As the waltz darkens into minor.

In the first few seconds I was going to comment on the number of old Krauts in the audience- but Now is see that I was wrong- the audience is composed of En båtnakke .

*I actually enjoyed that song. Kind of reminds me of my youth... But in Danish.

That was cool... But he really only used 12 strings to play. The other three appear to be there for show (or to say that it is a 15 string bass.)

Hahaa yeah we all kind of look the same when we get old and dumpy.  I absolutely love the song -- gorgeous scene-painting, some drama, exhilaration, sadness, defiance, and a rousing finish, like a mini novel.  The original is a little more explicit:  "At night shall you be my guest."  Not your average polka fare.

I thought for a second that Jazmunda had recorded a really strange children's song...

-------

This one is just weird, but listenable.  Don't attempt to try to understand the lyrics...

-------

There should be a third song to complete the triangle, but I honestly can't be bothered right now...

In the United States, "Sukiyaki" reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 charts in the United States in 1963, one of the few non-English songs to have done so, and the only one in a non-European language.
