It’s just that calling a statement “garbage” isn’t really an argument and so doesn’t warrant anything more than that. Did you know that there are more microbes in your fur than are in a public toilet? Do you even care?!

If you really feel that way then I doubt I can change your mind. I did call your statement garbage.
BUT I did not call YOU a worthless piece of shit...
Because. I do not know you well enough. Maybe that is too much thought.
I believe that people are in it for themselves. Other than that maybe some people who care about you as in individual.
Maybe I am a dirty bear and I have tons of microbes in my fur. Why should I care about that?LOL

Can your mind be persuaded?

Seriously, who doesn't love The Jam? Woking's finest and Paul Weller manages to sing without pretending to be an American. As relevant now as it was then.

Mmm...I liked the band he formed in the 80s that played at Live Aid too. The name escapes me. Another dude I’ve always liked that sang in his native accent is Billy Bragg. Like you and pud, a total commie but still...

I’m going to be radical and use my white privilage to help my own kind just like all the other races do and aren’t racist for it.

Hey, never say that out loud FFS.

Ahh, I "get it" -because Georg Friederich Händel Anglicized his name when he went over there, like the "Windsors" did albeit later......well didn't really Anglicize but came up with a brand new "English sounding" name. And because even the Norwegian royals today are related to the "Windsor" house, though somewhat distantly...via their Glücksburg lineage.

Nice piece though.

9th anniversary of Dio's death. Radio station here has been playing a few Rainbow albums to mark it.

The last refrain in a rather free (since rhymes for "Norway" don't exactly grow on trees) poetical translation:

Let it ring from each window and doorway
Through the land of the northmen so true:
You are ours, you are ours, ancient Norway;
We will drape you in red, white, and blue.

For a small man he had the friggin pipes. Saw him several times and I'm of the opinion his stint in Black Sabbath was better than Ozzy.  Died in Texas. Fuck cancer.

Dio celebration of life and syttende mai? Epic.

Nice. Kappy Constitution Day!  May it be filled with akevitt and parading.

Thanks!  Gratulerer med dagen, as they say back there.  Hopefully the Norwegian Seamen's Chorus can agree on a song to sing this year; they usually march silently for want of agreement.

Which is probably the most Norwegian thing ever.

Kappy? I guess I made up a word or can't type. And no akevitt yet even? Have fun. Not much doings here but got flags out. Neighbors likely think they are Confederate Battle flags but I'm ok with that impression also. Get off my lawn, dammit.

There's a sign near me on the river commemorating the day, a thousand years ago, a bunch of your delightful ancestors rowed to a nearby abbey, burned it down and slaughtered all the monks.

I'd like to take this opportunity to say Fuck Norway! Munch, Grieg, Hamsun, Ibsen, A-HA. They can all go fuck themselves. You know what you can do with your lutefisk too! Don't be swayed by the propaganda, give them the slightest encouragement and these bloody berserkers will go on the rampage again.

King Billy and Cromwell would be proud of us!   Agree with you on A-Ha though.
