The party of Middle America controls the legislatures of 32 states.  They control the funding of the public colleges and universities of those states, and ultimately the curriculum and policies.  These people in those public colleges and universities should be identified and purged, fired.  Along with college administration officials that resist this and protect them.  May as well clean out the educrats in the state education departments while they are at it, although they are not as public in their hate for this country, and would be more difficult to identify.

Though I agree, somewhat, with the tenure system (likely the only reason besides graduating students in disciplines that might actually get them jobs) that certain departments and professors are still around- it is abused and used to keep deadbeats and radicals around. But hard to get rid of, though there could be some interesting ways to do so. Or even get rid of whole departments. Make them self-fund. If Hollywood wants a "gender studies," or whatever, let them pay for it. The State should only pay for legitimate schools. And, yes, Art, philosophy, religion, or even "gender studies" is legitimate but, since less so it should not be granted or tax-payer supported as much as, say, medical, science, math, engineering, etc. Make real history, English, logic/philosophy, art, and civics mandatory though in HS and first years of college- but not the weirdo stuff, read and use the Canon. Let the other revisionism and politically-correct weirdness go to private schools and fund itself, it society figures it is worth while.

But it would take work on the part of legislators and corporations. For example, it would be great if corporations or government withdrew any grants, scholarships, etc etc to places that harbor violent protestors, illegals, people who over-stay VISAs, or that employ them. The problem is "research" is cheaper when done free/subsidized at schools, versus in-house by a company, so companies won't want to do that. And the research let's people publish (and so ensure jobs and tenure.) And so many of the universities primary reason to exist is to produce more teachers and government bureaucrats (and a lot of financial bubbles and profiteering involved.) So a hard problem to solve.

You and your friends are the Brownshirts, not Middle America.  You are the ones out rioting and tearing down our cities, denying speakers their right to speak and others their right of free access to them.  You are the ones who have written out much of our Constitution, and use the rest of it against us.  You are the ones interfering with the results of a presidential election.  Etc.  Etc.

The tenure system has outlived its usefulness.  It used to be there to protect professors from political winds.  That was back when universities strived to have all ideas presented and discussed.  These days only ideas on the spectrum between the Left and the Far Left are acceptable.  And the tenure system is partly the problem.

Tenure is not a Constitutional imperative.  Just as it was once implemented, it can be removed.  Of course its hard.  It is going to be very difficult taking our country back before its been destroyed, and we may well already be past the tipping point, but these legislators are our representatives and we send them to make the difficult decisions sometimes.  They need to get started, or get out of the way.  If some phony judge were to, say, strike down the elimination of tenure, the judge would need to be removed.  The time for playing games is past.

Agree. One of my biggest gripes is that most politicians have relied on the Courts to settle issues- or on the Executive. So they can play the game: "it is out of my hands," "they did it," "reelect me and I will fight against/for this travesty," etc. Congress (and associated State versions) was supposed to be the primary power and authority. And that was balanced by the bi-cameral nature and by the other Federal branches- AND by the STATE, local, and people. But they ceded everything, almost, to the President or various Judges and Justices, because easier for them.

They are afraid of working and passing, changing, or repealing laws and regs- or not working- and allowing "good" gridlock, government "shut-downs," "sunset commissions," defunding agencies, etc. They need to get off their scotch-riddled butts and actually make legislation or fight against same. And not just make commercials, play golf, drink with lobbyists, and screw some interns- of various genders and blame judges or the President or executive agencies.
