Let me help you out.  Obama and Pelosi decided to take a wrecking ball to our health insurance sector, instead of simply addressing the issues that needed to be addressed.  Their goal was a Euro-style, top-down, government-run national healthcare system, but they knew the people of this country would not stand for it.

They decided to destroy what was already in place, so we wouldn't be able to go back to it - then build something so awful, so unsustainable that when it was collapsing, people would be ready for their socialist nightmare.

Part of the plan for this has to be government allocation of resources.  Since resources are not limitless, it was to be government deciding who got which treatments, medications, and care.  In other government run healthcare systems, factors include age - if you are too old, you don't get access.  Healthcare becomes just another government budget item.  If a procedure or piece of equipment is ''too expensive'' only a few facilities will offer it, and a limited number of patients will have access.  Certain medications are deemed ''to expensive'' to be prescribed.  Too many doctors, nurses, and other staff are turned into uncaring bureaucrats.  Government paperwork is exponentially worse than insurance paperwork.  Waiting times are longer.  In one of these Stalinist type systems, someone needs to decide the amount o access for everyone.  Sarah Palin called them ''death panels''.  Because those left out die.

Of course the Left went nuts with this description.  But it is indeed accurate.  Instead of the magic of the market providing as much as possible for the most people at the lowest price, a bloated, inefficient, uncaring, unresponsive, unaccountable wasteful system run by politicians will provide less.  And Death Panels will decide who gets what.


So here we are, trying to fix another absolute mess the Democrat Party have created, and all they can think of to say is the old Sarah Palin line that so accurately describes their mindset, their idea of a healthcare system?  Someone asked me the other day why I despise the Left so much.  Its this stuff.  They are intentionally dishonest, intentionally destructive, on every issue.
