Can I ask; Who is Chris Brown?

In the lead so far for Stupidest Criminal of the Year.

Seriously - Whitney Houston's ex and father of their druggie daughter who died in the past year. What a family!

Ahhh, thanks for that. I'll sleep better now. I was worried it might be someone important.  :)

BobGrau

Hate to say it, but now I'm hearing the accuser describe what happened... it sounds like bullshit.  ::)

Oh, yeah. Sorry, you are right. Never cared about any of that whole pack so I get confused.

On the other hand, you could say he's a Phil Spectar wannabe without the talent.

Never. The police showed up and asked to be let in the house. He told them to get a warrant and then one lawyer began showing up per hour since then. Wall of lawyers.

Check this lawyer out (one of Brown's attorneys):

Probably not. Cops know that they might need a lawyer someday.

I meant Brown, doing a rapid detox is the only sensible reason to delay what seems like an inevitable arrest.

Oh ffs why am I even caring about this? I must've finally lost interest in Skyrim.

BobGrau

Far more wholesome viewing.

Limmy is a fairly obscure comedian from Glasgow whose youtube channel is well worth a gander.

I don't understand Hollywood. Don't get me wrong I like McConaughey and his kids go to the school in my old neighborhood where some of us went and his antics at football games (and in his old house once the infamous stoned, naked bongo affair) are great. He once 'bummed a dip' in the pisser at a game from a friend of mine, actually right there by the urinals, and is a down to earth guy from what I hear. He can star in some great movies and then some just bomb. I never even heard of this movie. I guess he gets paid but it seems Hollywood finance is bizarre. So many lose money (but they sometimes double-down, like a promised new Ghostbusters, afterwards) or maybe some are 'meant to fail' for tax reasons. I don't know, it seems a screwball business.

Same. Maybe this is the new anti-piracy strategy of Hollywood. No way Russians, Koreans, and Chinese hackers can put the cam version up on the torrents if it is only showing in one theater in West Hollywood.

Interesting vid, thanks Bateman. I'm a Stacy Keach fan. Talented actor and what an amazing voice. American Greed is one of few TV series I watch. His voice-overs make the show.

His role as GWB's pastor in W. was great.

Totally agree. One of my favorites was the Raffaello Follieri episode - Anne Hathaway's Italian ex-boyfriend who scammed Bill Clinton's buddy Ron Burkle.

That IS almost a classic tale. It is amazing what hubris or scheming and cons work. I knew a guy I went to school who did (still doing I think) some Fed time for involvement in another, more elaborate, Ponzi scheme and another guy, in a different area, a lawfirm, that was seriously sanctioned and luckily avoid time but got big fine (he was a new associate and was 'allowed' to submit evidence into court in a major suit that was proven faked. Big shot Partner fled the country with no extradition and, I think settled, somehow once some others plead out, but he as lawyer of record for the evidence was holding the bag.) In both cases, well at least one of them, the motivation, sudden wealth, and naiveté feeds you. Not saying they were innocent, especially in one case, but it is amazing how the victims (externally and internally) can happen in this deals. You start buying/getting houses on islands, awesome houses, cars, life-style and you get sucked in. And, like a good con, you have some weakness and way to justify and then get in 'too deep.'  Especially when you are new in the business/firm and get taken in and shit seems to be going so well. Biggest thing to know--- get your own lawyer, even if you have to mortgage/leverage everything, and plead early- prisoner's dilemma- or like in some ENRON cases get out before TSHTF. (Or have serious connections and hope for some political help or pardon. Might I suggest some Foundations?)

Generated some controversy due to the drought (or at least historical drought and green-types who say we are still in one after all the awful floods and rain) but glad someone took advantage of all the flooding and pretty cool technology. I don't surf but seem pretty cool. Not sure of their claim of 'water sustainable' once our drought does return, which it will due to evaporation. On the downside I hope it doesn't bring more Californians here.
