Same here.  He gets through so often, it makes me wonder if he's actually one of those "paid callers."  Why they want him on, though, is beyond me.  He's old news with his never ending amateur astronomer and atheist routine.

I just realized Bill reminds a little of one of Phil Hendrie's characters, Doug Dangger.  The Dangger routine always included him saying "he was a gay man, and a gay journalist" to the point of distraction.  Bill's "I'm an amateur astronomer and an atheist" routine is similar.

Yes, the JC calls to Noory are lame, a big reason Noory being so twee/sugary/dipshitty when JC calls in.


Also, I'm 99% sure George got pranked with a counterfeit JC call one night, back in '09 IIRC. The guy's impersonation would've drawn a few chuckles from friends in a pub, but it was painfully obvious the guy wasn't JC and that George (and his screener) had been had.

Yeah, JC is so obviously a put-on but at least Art made those calls interesting.

Just caught Amateur Astronomer Bill on Ground Zero. Holy fack what a loony toon. Reminds me a lot of Richard C. Hoagland where he's just rambling loony sciency bullshit and backs it up with a frighteningly delusional fanatical belief in his own intelligence and bullshit.
