Ric won't be attending any '80s flashback concerts.

Wow! I didn’t see this one coming but I didn’t realize he was already 75. The first two Cars albums were great! The third was their biggest seller. It was alright but not as good as the first two efforts, IMHO. I hope he’s still moving in stereo, wherever he is.

RIP Cokie Roberts

http://www.cnn.com/2019/09/17/media/cokie-roberts/index.html

A local station in Cincinnati used to have her on once a week for 10-15 minutes to talk about the news and news business.
She was a delight, didn't take herself all that seriously and was respectful of the (conservative) opinions of the local host.  I always enjoyed her segment.

I always wondered how she earned the name Cokie. Surely, her parents didn’t name her this.

I think it was a typo? Because the normal one is just freedomslips, if you can call the whole deal 'normal.' Here is there RIP section. It contains some people you've might have heard of and also, interestingly, a number of people with nicknames.  They are "gone but not forgotten." Who would think an online radio site would have such a death rate?

I think I'll start buying domain names "fire(coach name).com"
as soon as a new coach is hired at a major college football program.

At least Noory is good for something.  I doubt many end up here with a "Noory is the best singer and broadcast host ever."

He's just another misunderstood senior citizen who does not suffer fools.  I can relate.
