Your post gave me a start.  At first I thought it said that Reggie Bannister had died.

I thought Stiers was great as the mayor of the podunk Southern town in "Doc Hollywood".  That role was about as far removed from Winchester as it could be.

Holy Crap, Duke!  I'd forgotten that role.  You are spot on, bro.

"Russell Solomon, founder of the Tower Records chain that became a global phenomenon, and changed the way people consumed music, has died. He was 92.

Solomon died Sunday night of an apparent heart attack while drinking whiskey and watching the Oscars, said his son, Michael Solomon."

Taking a shot every time some Hollywood asshat virtue signals will surly kill you.  No one can drink that much alcohol.

The actor pretending to be Stephen Hawking has passed away. The man is a legend--he literally never broke character.

Who will they get to endorse brain-pills and prejudice against AI now? Bill Nye is arguably less photogenic, he's out of the running.

That black guy who is always nitpicking things for being unrealistic - he's hip with the kids.

No disrespect meant to the departed but that suit on Hawking looks like every suit on every man- crumpled corpse wrapping. And the other dude looks like he always does- a precious douchebomb. Anyhoo, rest in peace and all that.

Again, no disrespect to the departed, but isn't this the guy that Sredni was threatening to push into oncoming traffic?  I can't say that I know much about the guy but it seems he overcame great adversity especially when compared to some overweight shlub from Martinez who complains of numb feet and pain spikes.  RIP.

Former Governor of Georgia Zell Miller has died at 86.  He had been suffering from Parkinsons.  I loved it when he turned on his Democratic colleagues during the Bush Administration.

Preceded in death by his son Blockbuster.

H. Wayne Huizenga, whose restless entrepreneurial spirit led him to become the only U.S. businessman to found three Fortune 500 companies, has died. In the early 1990s, he owned three of South Florida's professional sports teams: the Miami Dolphins, Florida Panthers and Florida Marlins.

Just learned that Rusty Staub passed away the other day.
Very solid hitter, took a ton of walks and drove in lots of RBI's when he was with Detroit.  Also perhaps the slowest guy in MLB in his
playing days.  I remember him scoring from first on a triple at Tiger Stadium and it looked he had his feet in cement.   By the time
he got to the dug out it looked like he was gonna barf and then pass out.

Winnie Mandela

I thought she was already dead.
No, she was still committing crimes, encouraging racial and class violence, and defrauding the ZA government for many decades. She was also recognized for her personal Mandela Effect called necklacing.
