Ha...this is great! Will you be promoted to do the hog and corn futures report and the daily farmer's almanac reading?

Loved that deep cut from the Thompson Twins.

Wow, nice deep track. I used to be a big Pink Floyd fan but never listened to Barrett's solo stuff even though I heard it was good. I just didn't want to hear a crazy person singing. I thought it might be depressing. On another note, someone I worked with named his first child 'Barrett'.

The songs off of those three Syd Barrett albums have etched themselves into my brain over the years. You should check them out.

Even the weather?! I need to lie down with a cold towel on my forehead.

No, I drive into the station for each of the weather breaks, heh heh.

That would really complete things for me.

Ha...the morning guy later said that it was a packed show, with agriculture and livestock reports at 9am, the high school Eagles basketball game tonight and the river level was rising. ;D I was teleported back in time to my childhood and listening to WJBM, Jerseyville, IL.

I don't want Cher's shit songs killing my soul. That's why.

Oh her...from Jackstar's link yesterday:
Sonny Bono.

Bono began his Hollywood career as a lieutenant for reclusive murder suspect Phil Spector.

1960s, Bono hooked up with an underage Cherilyn Sarkisian LaPierre to form a duo known first as Caesar and Cleo, and then as Sonny and Cher .

January 5, 1998 , Sonny Bono died after purportedly skiing into a tree.

Bono occupied a seat on the House Judiciary Committee, which was about to come to sudden prominence with the investigation and impeachment of President Bill.

Tonight at midnight Central Time, I'll toss the station playlist into the dust bin and play only Art Bell bumper music.  Caller 7 wins something or other.  Only on Classic KYMO!

Only for the first hour of my shift, though.  It's too much of a pain in the ass to modify the playlist beyond that.
